After Leino signs for 4.5M in BUF, I like aquiring Jagr @ 3.3M instead A LOT more. Time will tell though.

Man, Philly is going to be known as the traveling circus. Jagr and Pronger in the same locker room? Jagr having flashbacks of Ovechkin knocking his ass out against Wash? Jagr facing Pittsburgh around 5 times a year?

Ohhhhhh man, **** just got intertrolling.

This could be great or it could be awful. Time will tell. I was in on Jagr for cheap, not sure I like the cap hit. Guess we'll see if its worth it.

yes we obviously should of caved in and signed to Leino at 5 million per or Cole 5 million per over 5 or 6 years. honestly, I would of HATED those deals more then this.

If we're contenders he can only help.

If we're not we can possibly grab a first rounder at the deadline.

$3.3 million for a guy who hasn't played in the NHL in 3 years.

Wow. Homer is making it more and more difficult to like this team.

I guess Jagr is going to provide that defensive play desperately needed in the top 6.

I'm reserving all judgement on the signing until I see how he actually performs on the NHL level. I expect nothing special, and hope to be surprised.

Me too, never saw him as a fit here but the contract isn't bad at all. It's a year where we're going to need scoring help. There's no way they're done. This is as close to a housecleaning as I can remember.

Shipping Richards and Carter for Jagr and Talbot. Fantastic! Jagr is not freakin worth 3.3 million. I saw him a lot last year in KHL, he has lost physical presence and couldn't carry his team deep in the playoffs. I don't think he's going to have impact in today's NHL.

Gotta love that TSN chose this particular picture of Jagr on the main site:

Yep because the Flyers didn't get Brayden Schenn, Sean Couturier, Jakub Voracek, Wayne Simmonds, and Ilya Bryzgalov through that trade also.

Yeah man. Forget about Schenn, Couturier, and Voracek!

Uhm I'm pretty sure it was Jagr, Lilja, Talbot, Voracek, Simmonds, Schenn, Couturier, a 2nd, and 2 3rds for Carter, Richards, Powe, Carcillo, and O'Donnell if you wanna think about it that way. I think we win that trade

And another 2nd and 3rd rounder for Versteeg and overpaid Leino. I think we still win

It is.

It refused to load because the concept of a Flyers Jagr jersey breaks several laws of the universe. Your browser is having trouble getting past the rift in spacetime.

After looking at the contracts given out today, I'm really quite pleased with this signing.

Their hasn't been. But I don't see why he wouldn't get it.

Why?

I'd rather have Jagr for one year at $3.3M then Leino or Cole at $4.5M for multiple years...
