Talbot's a very good player, and a respectable guy. Great signing. The only one of the day I approve of.

Talbot is a good player, the money is great, but the length of the contract worries me a bit.

Talbot is a 4th line guy.... High cap hit, but a solid 4th line guy in the end.

Philadelphia Penguins sign Max Talbot for 5 years, 9 mil. The Flyers will need to wear name tags at training camp.

do you really need to lock down a 4th line guy for that long when you have options on the farm for cheaper down the line

Cap hit is fine, but 5 years.... still laughing at the whole Penguin thing though... but this one isn't as funny cause it is a 5 year joke that will keep on giving

Why is this bad ... solid, solid bottom six guy for around the same caphit as guys like Torres, Goc, etc.
Too many years though. 5?! Wow.

Not a fan of this deal at all.
I like Talbot, but too many years, and too much money.

Haha, oh boy, this is getting ridiculous. I like the guy, though, and I'm pretty content with the signings thus far. The team was getting soft in the past couple of years, and this should bring us closer to the reputation we have/had.
I hope Betts stays, though.

Ugh, this puts us over the cap unless we make a move before the season.
22 players at 460k over (including Schenn and $2m for Simmonds)

No, the money is absolutely terrible. As a Penguins fan, I loved Max, but I would hate Shero if he gave Talbot anything near that much.
