Meh, he wasn't really even then. Had a good year in New York and wasn't bad for Ottawa in the playoffs, not a #4 D by any means.

Tambellini is doing a very good job today.

I hope the Expert does well for you, I always liked him.
But to me at 36, he seems even slower then he was before, his main problem in Anaheim was he wasn't physical whatsoever, broke his thumb then looked timid out there. Needs a confidence booster.
I can't see him breaking back into a legit top 4 dman at 36.

And now were trading a rightie for a leftie. We've got ONE lefthanded defenceman on the roster (by my count).
Doesn't add up.
I mean....beefing up is a good idea....but....its gotta make sense with on ice logistics and so far...Tambo is making a mess.
No disrespect, but Foster might as well have no hands

Sutton is a mean SOB. I like the move, if it is indeed legit.
We will be much less fun to play against. I still expect Cogliano to be moved.

But was clear that this was a joke.

I hope you're joking. He couldn't even crack Anaheim's lineup. He's not at all what he once was. He's terribly slow and will drive you absolutely insane with the stupid amount of penalties he will take. Anaheim fans are just as excited to see him gone as you guys are with Foster.

Not much realistic about those pairings. Sutton is a 36 year old dman with a big shot and some toughness but has serious mobility issues. No way he is a top 2 dman.

You clearly don't know how bad our D is.

Yup...the problem is that Tambo didn't improve it all that much if at all.

I like Sutton. He hurts a couple players every year just because hes so damn big and hes not a bad player. This is going to be the toughest Oilers squad over the last decade. Easily.

I'm not questioning that. I'm telling you that you are terribly mistaken if you think he's anything close to a top 4 defenseman at this stage in his career. Both Foster and Sutton suck so it's more of a change of scenery thing.

Not a big fan of this trade, but I'm not really a Sutton fan.
Foster didnt fit the team though but I think Foster is going to rebound this season, so good for Anaheim.
