Petry may be ready in 2 years but the 5 year plan is more realistic for every other Oiler prospect.
With the goaltending as weak as it is I think that Tambo should have supplemented that by upgrading the defence to have the ability to help keep the puck out of the net for the next couple of years.
I hear what you're saying, but damn, the contracts being handed out for those type of guys (Ehrhoff, Wis, etc) are so ridiculous. Unless there is a trade available, I'm glad they haven't gone big game hunting. Not yet at least, maybe in a few years.

We still have a ways to go, this year is 100% about getting tougher/bigger guys around the kids as far as I'm concerned.
Maybe it's best to require a medical for Sutton as well. Too bad it's being seen around the league that Tambo has questionable ethics. Karma Lombardi, karma.

To me, Tambo needs to sign a C like Belanger, as Horcoff has proved he's not willing to improve. Great captain though.

I have no interest in Tambo going big game hunting...its not necessary. Hejda was the player I think Tambo should have targeted.
Hannen would have been a smart pickup as well.
