Dekanich is a quality proven AHL guy, he wouldve backed up Rinne in Nashville last year, but Lindback got the job somehow. Dekanich was fully expected to get it though, so he should be a pretty good guy, although a little inexperienced at the NHL level.

Granted he has no NHL experience, but he does, it seems have talent. He is a young talent, so let's see what happens. If we get another NHL d man, Mase will be alright. Besides, it is time for Mase to step up.
Ads season ticker holder here... you'll like Dekanich. Not flashy, but really solid-down low. Only weakness I would say is his glove. Struggled in the shoot-out in 2009/10, got send down to the ECHL for a weekend and came back and has dominated since.
Got hurt in San Antonio just before the playoff push in March and never got a chance to play in the playoffs.
