Potulny Appreciation Thread?

The Caps signed him.
http://theahl.com/capitals-sign-potulny-ford-p171482

He was pretty instrumental in helping Bingo win the Calder Cup this year and lead the AHL playoffs in scoring.
Would have liked to see him back with the BSens another year to help our prospects develop. But not resigning him means we get to keep a 7th round pick.

Anyways, thanks for the help Ryan!

Didn't get to know his game that well, but cant say he lacked work ethic. He coulda taught Tovie a thing or two if he stayed.

Congrats potulny. Don't think we woulda won the Calder without you.

Thanks for the game winning OT goals in the playoffs!

Good luck in Hershey, however, I hope we kick your ass this season.

The most important thing I liked about Ryan is the way he fit in coming late into the season, class act and was instrumental in leading by example in the playoffs..I've become a big fan of him as a player and a person off the ice..

Thanks Ryan, wish it wasn't Hershey though as you will no doubt light us up next season if you don't make the Caps..

On Ryan Potulny Ottawa acquired him as I see it for Binghamton's stretch run and playoffs.

Ryan Potulny had 3 great playoff series was instrumental in getting by Manchester in the 1st round.......

He was the playoff scoring leader with 26pts......

He was only here for a short time, but what an impact. I wish him well with the Caps & or Bears................

Great move by Ottawa for Binghamton no one can deny that............

Potulny leaves Binghamton Senators to sign with Capitals

Playoff scoring leader Ryan Potulny became the first player from the B-Sens' 2010-11 American Hockey League championship squad to sign elsewhere as he agreed to a two-year deal with the Washington Capitals late Friday afternoon.

"I'll miss Binghamton," Potulny said. "That was one of the closest teams I've ever played on. I'll always remember how special it was the way Binghamton rallied around us when we came back (from winning the championship in Houston). I still show my friends pictures of the parade. It was pretty cool.

"It's kind of sunk in now that we're moving on and we're all going to be on different teams."

Not only will Potulny be on a different team -- he could be playing for one of the B-Sens' biggest rivals. Washington is the NHL parent club of the Hershey Bears.

"That's kind of the way it works out, but it's probably one of the first things I thought of, too," Potulny said. "It's going to be weird if I do end up in Hershey and come back to play against Binghamton. That'll be tough."

That quote struck me as well.

Good luck Ryan and thanks for the great work in leading us to a Calder Cup.

Why does the title of this thread end in a question mark?

Best of luck to him in Was, hope he can make the big team.

He was definitely the reason we made a comeback and beat Manchester round 1...was one of my favorite players for Bingo post-season. Wish him the best in Washington...except when he plays Bingo!

Wasn't sure if this was the right place to put it, since he was never really an Ottawa Senator. But I think he does deserve it. Maybe one of the mods can remove the "?" thx
