The Rangers' greatest rival today

There are those teams with well-known rivals: Vancouver has Chicago, Calgary and Edmonton (in that order) while Montreal has Boston (and, to a lesser extent, Philadelphia and Toronto).

Now, who would you consider the Rangers' greatest rivals today?

It's the Devils for me. The Flyers and Penguins are a close second.

Until Brodeur hangs up his skates, its the Devils.

After that.. its likely still the Devils but perhaps with realignment things could change. Rangers-Bruins games are always 1-0 nail biters.

Our biggest rival on July 1 of most other years has been Glen Sather

Devils
Flyers (after experiencing their fanbase in person, they've moved above the Pens for me)
Penguins
Islanders

For me it's been the Islanders. Lately most have said it's the Devils -- but soon enough they'll be hating the Islanders more again.

traditionaly, Devils/Isles.

since the lockout, I'd say Philly, Caps, & Guins have been some of the most competative & emotional games we play all season.

Growing up in Hells Kitchen, it has been and always will be the Islanders.

Nothing has changed in my mind.

Each and everytime we beat them I laugh a little hardier and each and every time we lose, I kick and Islanders fan that much harder.

Cryers 2nd, Debbies 3rd

For me it has always been the Philadelphia Cheesepuffs (Flyers) first, among the Devils, the Islanders and the Flyers.

well everyone in the division really

Devils
Isles
Flyers
Pens

that's my order. Isles are always going to be there regardless of how good they are. Devils are #1 though

From 1926 through the 70's its the Bruins.

80's Islanders.

90's Devils.

Flyers always close behind.

Still the Isles for me. Rangers-Devils games are more often than not boring as hell. Flyers probably ahead of the Devils.

Devils for me. Been to a bunch of Rangers-Devils games and I always get riled up, even though I'm usually a pretty calm guy.

The Devils' fanbase numbers have declined since they failed to make the playoffs. This is why they have lowered in my list below the team itself:

Flyers
Devils
Islanders
Penguins
Devils fans

2)Flyers
3)Devils
4)Sabres

Rangers have multiple rivals. Always have, always will. #1 depends on who you ask.

Philly just jumped up a few notches in hate for overpaying for Jags.

Today? Sather
Normally, I still say the Islanders. Once they're good again, it'll really take off like the old days.
