Richards told Canada’s Sportsnet late Friday that he had narrowed the field to four teams, believed to be the Kings, New York Rangers, Calgary Flames and Toronto Maple Leafs.

So if Calgary offered 9Y 64M and LA offered 9Y 60M...what did Sather offer?
62/9? lol 6.88M cap hit

Pretty sure I read that the Rangers offered the 3rd highest deal.

I just feel like he's going to LA. I don't know why. I really think that all things are pretty equal when you consider LA and NYR, and in the end he feels he'll have a better chance of winning a Cup with the Kings.

I highly doubt the Rangers offered a 9 year deal. I'd say 7 at the max. My guess is 7yr/$50MM

Im afraid you might be right, i guess the long flights to his homes on the East and the added travel doesnt mean anything to him.

I'm going to strangle the next person who says the Rangers need to move Dubinsky or Callahan to sign Richards

You need a car to get around LA. Who wants to deal with that traffic?
Unless you bump into me. I work on the 7 train and saw Stan Fischler walk by one day at Times Square while I was waiting for my train to arrive. LoL I had to stop him and have a chit chat. That was interesting to say the least.

Anyhow...I'm all rested and ready for the long haul. But cmon Brad. Make that decision already!

I kind of get the same feeling. When I listen to him I just get more of a west coast vibe from him. Maybe I'm wrong...but I don't see how anyone could blame him for moving to LA. Hopefully his desire to play with Torts again is the wildcard...but I do feel that after all the speculation that he would sign with the Rangers I find it a bit odd he's still thinking about things.

Look for the market for centers to pick up once Richards signs. RFA Artem Anisimov will re-sign with Rangers once Richards deal is done.

Good News!

Interesting! He's written whole books on the subway, actually. It's his true love, outside of hockey.

ahhhh giving us a heart attach till the end I see. Did he not want to go to the East and Torts is his old coach

why the heck does LA need Brad R with Mike R, Kopitar

Sather is gonna pony up if it comes down to it

reading Connoly is the consilation prize, come on he's a 2nd line option if he can stay healthy

McKenzie tweeted yesterday he thought our offer was for 9y, 61-63M. 3rd highest.

offer sheet doughty AND Stamkos!

Lol I know I know.. Impossible. But a older man can dream cant he?!

Anyways, the 9am thought is pretty rock solid. Why wait till 12 noon because its 9am on the west coast. I posted above me wrote this and it makes A WHOLE TON OF REASON.

Well, as long as we are not overpaying for a player giving us 3-4 good years and than 3-4 bad years its ok. But if the price goes anywhere NEAR what I heard last night around here, PASS PASS PASS PAAAASSSS
