Fedotenko played really well for us last year. I don't have an issue with this. He does a lot of things well that helps you win hockey games. Torts seems to be able to get the best out of him.

Wow what was the point in resigning him? We have a log jam of bottom 6 players.

Torts was constantly praising Feds last season. Said he relies on him and Dubi as his key LW'ers. Glad it's a 1 year contract. 1.4M is perfect for him.

Feds. Rupp. Boyle. Prust. These are not guys that are easy to play against.

I don't think anyone is gone. I think depending on who we're facing we'll split time between Rupp and Feds. If nothing else there's bound to be injuries so it's nice to have someone to who can step up.

It allows us to trade, our gives us depth.

Not a bad deal at all.

Good for the Rangers. I thought Feds played great in the games he played last year.

After Rupp was inked I thought he was for sure a goner, now the speculator in me believes Avery is waived or Boyle is traded.

Too much of a log jam on the fourth line and Rupp was not inked to a 3 year deal to sit out 40 games a season.

It's interesting...

People need to stop trying to throw EC into trade proposals. I get that trying to value for the valueless is the HFBoards Way, but still, come on now.

I dont think Wolski will be around come training camp. I also think one of the RFA's is now dealt for a top-line LW.

I dont think Sather is done dealing.

How are you going to have Avery sell Richards on coming here and then get rid of Avery before Richards plays one game? Something's gotta give. Wolski and/or Boyle are on the move, I would think. I don't think Avery is leaving before his contract ends.

and/or buyout/trade Wolski. I have a feeling Torts is not a fan. He doesn't seem to fit, and if we get Richards, we can stop playing around with these flaky-skill guys. He'd open up $3M in cap space. Moving Boyle should not be pursued.

The only one that has any trade value might be Boyle. Right now we have 5 4th liners on this team, and thats not including Christensen or kids like Hagelin and Weise.

I see this as solidifying our team. The line up that I would use is:

Dibi - Richards - Gabby
Wolski - Arty - Cally
Feds - Steps - Boyle
Avery - Rupp - Prust

There is such work ethic and responsibility on every line and the skilled players on each line should have room to do their thing.

I'm new to this, so I don't know what the cap situation would be.

wait. rupp was signed to give us some muscle of which we had zero. hell play on line 4. feds gives us a reliable 3rd line guy.

those guys both make sense but neither are 2nd line players. this doesnt mean wolski is gone at all. christensen is the odd man out.

and i laugh at all this "who needs flaky skill guys"" stuff.

hahahaha. because we can be/have been so successful scoring 2 goals per game with a team full of callahans and prusts.

silliness

I'm not sure I completely understand this signing..I'm for it I've wanted Fedotenko back but I also wanted Rupp but now this just doesn't make sense...I wonder how this all shakes out...Would have preferred Hagelin as our 3rd line lw but it looks like Feds is claiming that spot...although haven't there been rumors debating a Boyle trade granted their not from the greatest sources but I hear a current Ranger RFA could be in play and Boyle a big center coming off a career year could be worth a decent price...Rupp could move to center...Feds - Rupp - Prust...hmm...idk
