Maybe.

A lot of times it's the wife that makes these decisions. Brad might want a chance at another cup, but I doubt his wife places much value on that.

If I get married and my wife tries to dictate what job I take, I bounce her and move on to the next. Grow a pair Bradley!

If NY didn't offer the most and some reports say they are below several offers, why would he pick NY for less? Unless it really is a West VS East decision.

Signing with NY for less would be a twist.

SRSLY, you started off this morning so well . . then you mentioned being a Duck's fan and now you're probably now more hatted on than JT Dutch & Kurr combined . . .

Feels bad man . . .

The rumor mill is that is where he has wanted to go all along. Not sure about the Rangers tactics though, if they are just trying to get him as cheap as possible, but it does make them come off as overconfident and nonchalant. If they offered him any of the deals others have, he may have signed by now.

Are the Kings the only team that could be a legit contender next year in the running (god it feels weird to say that)?

I respect Darren Dreger a lot but he's out to lunch if he thinks Richards is seriously considering joining the Flames. I guess if it's all about the money, maybe. I can't fathom though that Richards would think that Calgary is his best chance to win.

So how are the Flames going to sign Richards? They'd have to dump off a big contract like Bouwmeester, no? And then they'd have a horrible defense core.

I find it interesting to note that the Kings have only two players older than 30 years old - Willie Mitchell and Rob Scuderi.

I don't think Richards wants to sign in Calgary. It might come down to Rangers or Kings, but I think we're going to get our hopes up like we did last year.

LA is the best contender in the mix, we just didn't offer the most money, and many believe he didn't want to go west, so it hinges on whether or not this godly video and presentation we made enough to convince him to take less and go somewhere he may not prefer to be apart of a contender. Rangers and Toronto are the only other serious options on the table.

If you believe the speculation, they are using Calgary's offer to get the other teams to raise their offer. I don't think that is a very good idea since no one will believe that he will sign with Calgary, they will just call their bluff.

All indications are that NY is the frontrunner right now despite not having close to the highest offer. My guess is that he knows what Tortorella can do and wants to play under his system again, be in a city like New York, and play with a star winger like Glassorik
