I'd agree it's down to us and NY. Not even sure why Calgary is one of the four considering their team structure for the future. I still think he goes to NY.
Even if the flames bury hagman they still need to move more salary as they don't have enough D under contract and the ones they do aren't good. It boggles my mind why Calgary is a viable option
OK. I am drinking but that literally made me sort whiskey out my nose. Not to mention have to correct like 12 typos. Hahahahahahahahhah!!! Finnny ShI%*^&%T
If it was clear as day for NY he would have signed today. I think our presentation may have really made him think. I still don't see how Calgary makes any sense and Toronto is Toronto.
I still believe he signs with the Rangers, but IF he ends up with the Kings, we will most likely be Stanley Cup favorites............and I would then be 100% sure the world would end in 2012
I had a dream last night that we signed Richards.. whats really trippy is that in my dream i was reading twitter where it was reported that Lombardi showed up with an entourage to talk to Richards and his agent.. When I wqoke up I immediately loaded up twitter.. where the SAME news was reported.. not in the same words but pretty damn close.
Thinking about it more there's no way he can pick any other team besides LA is he truly is about winning. It all makes too much sense and given that he will be a Ranger come tomorrow

Rangers should be front runners. He'll probably wake up, take a few hours, announce he's signing with the Rangers, and say he respected all the other offers, but the Rangers were just the right fit and that he feels like he can make them win a title.
Honestly can't see him going to Calgary. Not really Toronto either.
He's going to the Rangers. It just makes way too much sense. They NEED a guy like him to take the team over the top. I'm fine by that too. Glad he is in the East.
For those who saw his tsn interview, a couple things I noticed and it could me nothing at all:
- he said 3-4 teams meaning meaning he's basically cut one out already, Calgary?
- he mentioned teams showing up to see him a few times and how that was important to him , Calgary did not and I don't believe the rangers did either, they were via conference call
- trying to pick a winner, he's not winning with Calgary Toronto or new York anytime soon, LA is on the upswing
Just a couple of observations I had, could mean nothing but I'm just being hopeful
Tim Leiweke, chief executive of the Kings' parent company, AEG, led their eight-man delegation. Coach Terry Murray, assistants Jamie Kompon and John Stevens and the club's vice president of communications, Mike Altieri, took part in a detailed presentation that emphasized the club's future and the advantages of Southern California living.
"It wasn't selling. It was facts," General Manager Dean Lombardi said. "It was the proudest I've been of the organization in my six years here."
Leiweke said he lingered for a one-on-one chat with Richards. "He's a very good guy. I liked him a lot," Leiweke said. "We gave it our best shot. We agreed we weren't going to get into extended negotiations. The package we put on the table was very good."
The Kings have more than $16 million in salary cap space next season. However, a significant chunk is earmarked for restricted free-agent defenseman Drew Doughty, whose agent, Don Meehan, works alongside Morris at Newport Sports. Richards asked about Doughty's status during the 90-minute session but Lombardi, enmeshed in the presentation to Richards and post-presentation discussions, didn't talk to Meehan on Friday.
The Kings are willing to alter their previous offer to Doughty and link deals for the duo if that will persuade Richards to sign.
Some interesting tidbits that I bolded. The Kings have made it clear they are not entering into a bidding war and have laid out their exact plans, with an option to adjust the contract to get Richards and Doughty signed in a package deal. Interesting...

I really think we are down to the final two in Richards mind. Problem is I think he ends up with the Rangers. Were used to it though. There is always Parise to get rejected by next year....same bat time, same bat channel
i feel he will end up with the rangers, but if he wants to win now, The kings are his best bet. With him i feel the world would be picking the Kings to win the cup even if they somehow can't resign Doughty, With Richards, Richards, Kopitar, Williams, Penner, Brown, and Stoll all potting over 20 goals, next season... that would be insane. And doesnt the Kings roster impress him more than Just Gaborik???? and Lundquivst

They have Staal, Girardi, Del Zotto, Dubinsky, Callahan and Stephan as well; none of which are exactly fodder material.
I think LA does have a better chance at winning than the Rangers, but it isn't by as wide a margin as some people are making it out to be. Also, If you look at the players listed, similar to LA, most are relatively young.
Perhaps the biggest thing in LA's favor is that NY has Sean Avery.
Personally, I hope he does sign with the Rangers. He never impressed me much while with Dallas.
Oh didn't realize that. I just figured after the CGY incident, everyone on the Dallas roster didn't think much of Avery. Even better if they are friends.
-I had this awesome dream about Stanley Cup and as I was lifting the cup but I just couldn't see what jersey I was wearing....who has black and white colors and I think there were a bit of purple as well?
His wife than says.
-Is that the Rangers? they don't wear those colors do they?
Brad
-It felt so real, I really believe it happened well the feeling I mean. I think it is destiny to happen....Isn't Kings black and white?
Music and panorama and dog jumps up on the bed and they all hug...THE END
Anyone else hoping the Kings don't sign Brad Richards? I would much rather have a 30 year old Gagne for 3 years at $4m, than a 31 year old Brad Richards for 9 years at $6.5m. It just doesn't make sense when the Kings already have Kopitar and Mike Richards locked up long term, but are missing a winger. I just don't get the logic of trying to switch one of the Richardses to wing. Especially with how effective Mike Richards' two-way play is, and I just can't see Brad Richards going somewhere that he'll likely be playing wing for the rest of his career.
Bring on Gagne, and if he hits UFA next summer we go hard after Parise to replace Penner.

I won't care one bit if Richards doesn't sign here, but I won't be able to help but be ecstatic if he does
