@TSNBobMcKenzieBob McKenzie

Not saying PHX will trade RFA dman Keith Yandle, but my sense is PHX will gauge his trade value as it considers all options (trade or sign).

If there was ever a Dman that was a perfect fit.. it would be yandle

Was just coming to post this.

That is the answer right there. I wonder what the cost would be and what he is looking for to sign. Would anyone go as high as the 4.2 that Kaberle was making?

I'm guessing Phoenix would want futures such as picks and prospects

Yes, I would give Yandle 4.2, and would look to get a long term contract on that. Something like 5 year/$21M.

We would have to part with a good roster player for Yandle and Chia will NOT do that. He is in no position to do that.

Getting Pouliot if they knew they were going to have to part with Caron for Yandle would be a stroke of genius for Chiarelli.

Assets:

Knight
Spooner
Kampfer
Caron
1st's
Boychuk

The good thing too is PHX is in financial trouble and with all the other teams being dumbasses and singing average players to ridiculous contracts it may give us an edge to offer sheet someone.

I would have to believe the going rate for Yandle starts with Hamilton and a first-rounder.

Now, what are you parting with to make this happen?

I'd give them Caron without hesitating. Rask, not a chance.

Caron + another prospect + 2firsts?

I would take out one of Knight or Spooner, keep at least one of them. I would be fine with that if we could get Yandle.

Caron, Spooner and a first for Yandle?

It would pain me never having to hear Jack yell Spoooooner.

On top of the assets we would need to trade what type of salary would he command? 6.5 or is that not enough?

Think they'd be asking for Krejci or a package of Hamilton and Rask.

You bet. This is exactly the type of player the Bruins need.

Drafting Hamilton as a future all around top 2 was terrific. Yandle is the PMD equivalent for Boston.

Is there any comparison between Kaberle at $4.2 and Yandle at $4.2? Not for me.

I'd give up a lot in trade to get him in Boston.

I think if you start your package with Rask, it gets their attention big time and go from there. Phoenix needs a young goalie of the future, and we have the prospects to add to the package.
