I would offer:

1. 2 of: Knight, Spooner, Caron 1st in 2012, 1st in 2013
2. Kampfer
3. Hamill

The price would be very high and I can't see Chia paying another premium price after Kaberle.

Could Rask head to Phoenix in a deal for Yandle?

I was surprised the Bruins suddenly convinced Khudobin to sign another 2 year contract when GM Chiarelli had resigned himself to losing him to the KHL. His new deal is a 2 way contract in year 1 and a 1 way in year 2.

That means they have 3 goalies on NHL contracts in 2012-13 if Thomas and Rask are still around.

I'd go 6/$30 if we have his rights, would probably be higher as a free agent.

I'd offer 2012 1st, 2012 3rd, 2013 1st, Boychuk, Campbell, Sauve, Bartkowski

I'd offer $3.5 on a 1 year or $5.5 on a 2 year deal for Gagne. $2M for 1 year of McCabe.

Horton - Krejci - Peverley
Lucic - Bergeron - Caron
Gagne - Seguin - Marchand
Thornton - Kelly - BennyP
Paille

Chara - Yandle
Ference - Seidenberg
McQuaid - McCabe
Kampfer

If Khubodin looks to be able to be a serviceable backup this year and then take the starting job from Thomas, I'd deal Rask. I have never, ever seen Khubodin play, however, so I have no idea how good he is or could be.

That'd be tough to swallow but I would think about it. Probably need something else back though.

He's a premium PMD and it's gonna hurt to give up what it would require, but the Bs have the assets to make a good offer.

Pass.

Too expensive (player wise and salary wise). Overrated. Risky. Not a great fit.

I thought this was very surprising as well, but it's the KHL. Nothing surprises me any more with them, and we just saw another KHL-bound goalie maybe turn heel on the Russian league today (Varlamov).

It could be a gentlemen's agreement that Chiarelli will send him to a mutually agreed-upon greener pasture in year 2, it could be that the KHL market wasn't what he had hoped, it could be that Rask wants out after this year - we just don't know.

You are not way off and definitely could be a possibility. Would be tough to see Rask being traded, but you have to give to get (but in this scenario, I think we will need another young goalie).

I'd start there too but the 2nd piece would have to be significant, Caron or their 1st next year won't get it done. Look at what Brent Burns was just traded for, and he's a UFA after this season.

Would the Bruins rather give up four late 1sts or Rask+?...or even wait a year and pay him as a UFA?

Offer sheet:
2012 - 12
2013 - 6
2014 - 3
2015 - 3
2016 - 3
2017 - 3

I would of course do this after locking up Marchand so we don't get stiffed by someone else.

No way Phoenix would do that.

If we put Bergy in play they'd have every right to want that deal straight up. I know Bergy is a fan favorite and new legend here but with his concussion issues and production levels you would not get more than Yandle for him , no chance. Certainly not a possible top 15 pick.

Now I'm sure Bergy isn't in play, but that's about what Yandle would fetch in trade.

You really want Bergeron off this team in a bad way. I have a feeling you're going to be disappointed for at least the next decade.

You know we don't have a 2nd round next year, right? So we can't offer that. And compensation of 4 1st's, we would need to offer $7.84M/5 years.

What if we traded 4 1sts for him instead of offersheeting him so we don't look sleazy.

What happened to all the 'Kampfer can do the job just fine' talk?

Rask, Caron, 1st for Yandle, who then costs $6.5m to sign.
