Here is to looking at a 37 year old piece of ****...great deal...you guys are smoking crack...
He now settled in, cash out and play medicore hockey...you guys are blind...we do the same **** every year and every year you guys love the move...hello Chris Drury part 2.
4 years from now, everyone will be like, why didn't it work...what went wrong..
I wonder who gets a contract offer or traded away now, maybe Sauer, maybe Dubi, maybe Boyle, maybe AA...but who gives a ****...we got our overpaid "superstar".
I wonder how much drive he will have when he is 35 and has collected 40 million from us...maybe he can open up a pizza shop or a fancy resturant...welcome to NYC.
Prove me wrong.
Hey its a jealous Leaf Fan. Hey buddy, 6.5 million a year for a guy like this is not something i call overpayed. I was worried when i heard that many teams were involved and honestly started thinking the cap hit would go over 8. But hearing this is good news. Ive seen him play he has skill, now i havent watched him enough to say i love him but at 6.5 even if he is not who we think, it would def not be impossible to move him in a couple years. Dont worry Sauer is not going anywhere, nor is Dubi or AA and prob not Boyle unless he wants too much money.
I think it's a bit overlooked, but I don't see where Christensen fits on this roster now.

Unless we are cutting bait with Avery or Wolski (or MZA doesn't make the team), Christensen has no place.
He could be kept as a spare if one of the kids isn't ready. Teams will normally carry 14 forwards and we should have enough cap space to do so.
Now that the Rangers have given out one of these "cap circumventing" contracts expect the league to pull the rug out from everybody come Tuesday morning.
I can't believe Sather may have between $3 to $3.5 million in cap space after the RFA's are signed. Move Wolski and Christiansen and you could have almost over $8 million in cap space!
I think it will be closer to 2 mil after the RFAs sign, but yeah, we could save another 3.3 by buying out Wolski. We could add someone for 4 mil and still have plenty of space for injury callups.
I'd rather not go that route though. Keep Wolski and see what he can do alongside Richards and Gaborik. Let's focus on getting our RFAs signed and go into the season with this team. We can always add pieces at the trade deadline.
The signing isn't about how BR will perform in year's 7, 8 and 9. For the next 3-5 years, we have a legit C who will instantly make those around him better. Not to mention role players can play actually play their role, and not be forced to play top 6 minutes.
The Bruins' team structure and philosophy is not that different than the NYR. We're a piece or two and within a couple of years away of becoming serious Cup contenders. So, yeah, celebrate this signing and cheers to Slats for not overspending.
That simple huh? Guess we could win a cup every year with that system and the Ranger's money, right?
I didn't want Richards a few months ago, but now I'm pumped about having a REAL 1st line. We have our 2nd line, our 3rd line, our 4th line. I just pray our young forwards and D stays consistent in developing next year.
We can use a LW. I don't think it's necessarily needed, though.
Looking forward to seeing Richards and Gaborik on a rush.
I am so pleased and happy right now. 6.5? Sather showing restraint? Sather LEARNING from his past mistakes? Maybe we don't need to fire him afterall....hopefully this continues.
Okay, so now we have Richards. We are a legitimate playoff team, but are we a stanley cup contender? Not quite....close but not quite.
The question I am posing is that if we were able to trade for Yandle, would we be stanley cup contenders? We'd have to give something up of value, it may have to be one of stepan or anisimov, but Yandle is a legitimate #1 Dman and quite the PMD as well.
