that line has everything, grit, net presence, playmaking ability on all sides, a sniper, a guy who can drop the mits... and a RH LH LH.

I know hes a LW but what the hell he probably can play his off wing.
ive been saying this for about 2 months.

AHL move. Brodie never would have cracked the NHL lineup.

I just can't see CGY trading us Iginla after everything that has happened between the two organizations.

EDIT: Just to add to that...think about how much it would cost at this time of the year. It's July 2nd. CGY just traded us Erixon, their top prospect. They had this whole thing unravel with BR even if they were never serious suitors. What does it say to the fans if they go and trade Iginla to us. Their fans would lose their minds. The return would have to be substantial and imo that's not worth it.

Exactly. It sucks because I would love Iggy and think that he would give us a DOMINANT first line with Richards and Gabby, but Calgary would be stupid to talk trades with us.

I really don't think the Rangers will have enough cap space to pursue another big time free agent unless Wolski get bought out.

I don't think he will go after Kaberle, and the only way I see him going after Gagne is if it's on a 1 year deal.

Personally I would rather look for trading partners.

I want no part of Babchuk and the $2.5+ mil he thinks he deserves.

The only UFA move I want to see is the re-signing of Eminger. He's cheap, he plays the right side, and he's proven that he could be a very servicable 6/7 veteran defenseman. That's what we need.

Just because we may be a few mil under the cap after the RFA signings doesn't mean we need to blow that load right now. Sign the RFAs, give Eminger 1 year 1.2 mil, and save the rest to give yourself leeway for moves during the season.

Yeah, a lot people are hung up on getting a LW, but, I'm willing to wait and see how the lineup meshes before making any kind of move. Let's see what Step delivers in year two, see if anyone works with Richards and Gaborik on the top line, and see what we get out of someone like Boyle. Get a RH 6/7 D-man and let's see what camp reveals.
