So the review is over and all five judges put on it by the WBO scored the fight for Manny. Says a rematch will be "ordered" if Arum doesn't do it himself.

Shame. Had been going along pretty nicely, would've been interesting to see how the ending rounds would've gone. Now to wait and see who Alvarez will go with.

Froch - Bute rematch in Montréal to happen in March 2013.

Which venue hosts boxing over there?

It'll be at the Bell Centre. Bute's fought there at least 15-20 times before. If it goes to the scorecards Bute will win but based on their last fight I don't see him making it that far. This rematch is still a long ways off so I hope each guy takes a fight before then. I'd love to see Bute fight Pavlik assuming he wins tomorrow night and see Froch have another go round with Kessler or Ward.

Pavlik beats Rosinsky. That's the 2nd fight(2nd win as well) in a month for Pavlik. That's crazy.

It was Rosinsky's 2nd fight in less than a month as well. Pretty crazy that both guys had fought so recently.

That's ridiculous. Bute doesn't deserve a rematch after how he was destroyed in the first fight. It's going to be the exact same thing all over again. Bute isn't tough enough to deal with someone of Froch's caliber. Librado Andrade should have KO'd him if the ref didn't give him a 20 second 10 count. The guy's a paper champ.

He probably shouldn't get a rematch but there was a clause in the first that he get's a rematch in his hometown if he lost. It's only fair since he agreed to fight in Froch's hometown. Andrade should've won the first fight but Bute whooped his ass in the rematch so who cares. Bute's a pretty good fighter, just not as good as a lot of Canadians think he is, especially French Canadians. He dominated Glen Johnson who's a very good fighter and a warrior. He also beat other solid fighters with ease in Magee, Bika, Andrade, and Miranda. He's top 10 at 168lbs but definitely below guys like Ward, Froch, Kessler and Dirrell (if he gets his **** together). I'd say he has a decent chance of beating guys like Abraham, Stieglitz and Pavlik.

The Canadian fighter to really watch out for at 168 is Adonis "Superman" Stevenson. The guys a KO machine and everyone in the division is afraid to fight him right now. He's had like 10 guys turn down a fight with him in September.

It was crazy seeing Amir Khan get KO'd last Saturday. It's gonna be a long road back for him.

I'd love to see that Garcia fight a guy like Marcos Maidana next. They're talking about him and Rios, that would also be a very exciting fight.

Did anyone watch the Selcuk Aydin-Robert Guerrero fight? Awesome fight. Guerrero won via UD. It was his first fight after a long lay-off.

That was a great performance by Ward. Probably the best left hook in the sport. I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch at 175 though. 168 is too light for Dawson, and he looked pretty drained. At 175 it should be a better fight, and Ward's gonna have to move up anyway because there's just no one for him to fight at 168. I'd love to see a rematch at 175 asap, and then Ward can clean up the rest of the division.

So am I the only that's excited as **** for this Saturday? Alvarez-Lopez on one card, Martinez-Chavez Jr. on the other? I can't remember a more hype weekend of boxing.

IMO, Chavez Jr. and Lopez are two tough Mexicans, so I can see both hanging in there and losing decisions. Though maybe Chavez Jr. folds under the pressure, maybe he doesn't have the mettle. It's such an intriguing match up, I can't wait to see it!

Canelo vs Lopez time!

Ortiz is there in the stands in all his broken jawed glory

_______________

The 2nd was good, then Canelo just started and Lopez is hurting. He's in trouble on the ropes right now in the 3rd. Not sure how much longer he can go as he's hit the mat a couple of times now

_____________________

Ref calls it. Lopez may have kept going, but only because I don't think he'd stop no matter what, but it was time.

Sergio Martinez is bringing it vs Chavez Jr, Chavez tried to show off like Martinez's punches weren't hurting him and Martinez broke his nose in (I think) the next round.

Absolutely amazing 12th round, Martinez controlled much of the fight but Chavez almost stole it at the end, Martinez looked like he was done after the knockdown.

Great night of fights. Martinez made Chavez look like an amateur for 11 rounds, gets caught in the 12th, and almost gets put away. I'm surprised he survived after that knockdown because he looked out of it, but Chavez simply ran out of gas. Both guys showed heart throughout. Now who wants to move up to 168 to face Ward

There's a few more fights left for Martinez at 160. Dmitry Pirog and Genady Galovkln.

I thought the Martinez-Chavez fight was kinda boring until the 12th round. The Canelo-Lopez fight was just ridiculous though. Lopez showed incredible heart but Canelo is such a beast. He's my favorite fighter right now by far, his combos are insane.

Another great fight was Maidana-Karass. Both guys were bombing each other all night, Karass was chopping down Maidana with the body hooks, but then Maidana dialed in the overhand right and took over the fight. IMO that was the fight of the night, although the whole Showtime card was great.
