Great fight. Wouldn't be surprised to see them put together the 5th.

Boxing sites everywhere exploded after that one. What a fight, and what an ending. Pacman's days are numbered and Mayweather barely fights anyway. We're seeing the great fighters of the last decade ride off into the sunset again. It's time to turn our attention to the Broners and the like.

I had it 48-45 for Pac, but it was close.

I don't even remember it being close. In fact, Floyd may have won every round convincingly. At the time, everyone said that JMM was too small and too past his prime. Floyd got little credit for that win. For some reason JMM and his counter-punching style was always tailor made for Pacman, though. He couldn't hang with Floyd, but he sure as hell rose to the occasion four times against Manny.

Edit: The Mayweather/Pac fight has little draw now. I'm not sure where Mayweather goes for his career-capping fight...or if he's even interested anymore. His career the last few years has been bizarre and littered with missed opportunity. A Bradley fight might do something for his career. A Canelo fight likely would not but would make more money. Hmm.

Yeah, Floyd won 120-107 in that fight. I'd like to see it again bc lets face it, JMM just ko'd the #2 fighter on the planet and look how much bigger JMM is now.

I'm glad this happened and would prefer everyone to move on. No more rematches, no more Floyd/Manny talk, none of it.

After their fight last year, which JMM won, this is icing on the cake.

Truthfully I think most people knew in all seriousness it wasn't going to happen by now. I know some people still brought it up, but I can't imagine anyone having a high % of it even in the past year.

WOW! What a fight. Marquez looked like he was on his last legs then just dropped him with a right with 2 seconds left in the 6th.

Pacman dropped like he got sniped.

Safe to say Pacquiao-Mayweather is a dead as ever and we'll probably see a 5th fight between these two?

Didn't Mayweather fail to make the weight for that fight? I vaguely remember not giving him much credit because he'd have had a significant size advantage come fight night.

The real winner is Bradley who took the belt off Pac in a dodgy decision and will probably get away without having a rematch with him now.

And what a career for JMM. In the last four years (all of which have been after the age of 35), he's only lost twice...to Mayweather and Pacman. He also beat some quality guys like Katsidas, J. Diaz, and Cassamayor during that time. Then cap it off with this? Definitely one of the best Mexican fighters of all time.

Fight was supposed to be at a catchweight, then Floyd missed by 2 pounds and paid Marquez off. Fighters weighed in 4 pounds apart. Same as this fight.

Yup, he came in over weight and there was something in the contract that allowed him to way in between 140-147 and still fight as long as Marquez received extra compensation.

Edit: What LITN said.

So do you think Bradley tangles with Mayweather now? JMM and Bradley at 140 or 147 also seems like a possibility, too.

Floyd will never fight with any fighter involved with TR because he believes that Arum robbed him of a lot of money. That takes Bradley, Marquez, Pacquiao off the table. I think this may be the real reason for Floyd not wanting to fight Pacquiao in the first place.

Pac probably does retire now. His only fight is a Pacquiao/Marquez 5. When was the last time there was a 5th fight?

I love how humble and grounded Marquez is for how good he ACTUALLY is. What a great fighter
