The Story so far...

Let me just start off by saying I'm liking what Burkie is doing this offseason, with the additions of Connolly, Franson and Lombardi for what we gave up to get them is good.

Secondly for anyone blaming him for not getting Richards is an idiot, Richards wanted to go to N.Y. from the beginning and took less money to do so. It was out of our hands, he then went in to plan B and got us something else, not as good, but much better then the status-quo.

And I really hope we're not done yet. Maybe get Konopka from the Isles and really hopping for Stastny for Kadri +.

Hearing the Leafs are still shopping players and hearing Komi might go out West.

Hoping for Komi+Bozak+Kadri for Statsny (something like that)

The Richards contract is brutal, I'm so happy he turned down our offer. I am loving everything Burke has done so far this offseason.

That would put a brilliant cap on this theft from Nashville.

I also am glad Richards will follow Drury and Gomez and all those other Ranger free agent fiascos. He is a good player, sure, but six years worth of contract at nearly $10M per (in effect) is money only for the likes of Stamkos and Ovechkin and Crosby. Richards is nowhere near their league.

I love that show, they offer so little for the actual value of the item, but they remain very likable. Also the stuff that comes in is unreal.

No, it's Rick Harrison from Pawn Stars. He usually gets experts to come in and take a look at the item, before he buys it.

i think everything burke has done so far is awesome. i like the connolly signing and i LOVE the franson trade. then again when he signed beauchemin and komisarek a few years back i thought the leafs would have a great season with such strong defense, that never materialized. Everything looks good on paper so far but its up to the players to live up to their contract/potential

You forgot to add Liles.

The 3rd line looks like it will be real good in Kadri/Lombardi/Armstrong. I'm thinking Colborne is the better 4th line center over Bozak though. Might Bozak be out of a job in toronto? I think maybe he is.

Burke won't play Colborne on the 4th line. He's a "top six" guy, but hes not ready for the NHL yet. That means another year in the ahl.

Yeah, heard all this top 6 bottom 6 talk about Kadri not playing anywhere ,but first line, then second line then third line was ok. Colborne has done nothing to suggest he is a top 6 forward. He is there for bottom 6 no?

He's what? 21? Give him time. When he was called up for game 82, what line did he play on? It wasn't the 4th.

He's a skill guy. Whether he'll ever reach his potential is unknown at this time, but I can assure you that he is looked at as a future top 6 guy.

Burke won't waste a season playing Colborne 10 mom a night when he could play 20+ a night in the ahl
