Please make it stop.

Still waiting for one decent move from Chevy, even if it's just Ladd, Wheeler, or Bogo re-signed at a fair price. That's all I ask.

Depth, depth and more depth.

I'll be fine with these if Zenon Konopka is next.

Maybe I haven't seen enough but I didn't think he was that bad... Good 6-7th D-man.

It's terrible to sign depth guys, players for your 4th line and/or farm team, etc. Good NHL franchises don't do that.

Dreger is saying 1.150M

Not bad considering we're not even at the floor.

I'm really starting to think that Buff is getting moved up to beef up the top 6 instead of going after a RW.

Isn't this guy pretty much only a one dimensional offensive d-man?

You're giving him to much credit. I don't even think he has one full dimension

No problem with all the depth signings but as I was following the Lightning for most of the playoffs... DO NOT WANT!

Isn't better than the current top 6 and I rather the team give more games to Postma and Kulda as injury replacements. Dumb signing. Cheveldayoff is really having a stellar offseason

These signings literally blow my mind...

1.15 million for this guy........Why are they signing another (terrible) d-man??

Jones over Kulda or Postma in the case that Oduya gets traded? Good God almighty....My head hurts.

We should go out and sign Richards for 9 years, or maybe pay Connolly 4.75 per year...

COUGH.

I don't even have a clever way to use his name as an adjective in a sentence he's that bad.

It's like they're actually going out of their way to sign every player that is considered a joke in this league.

Does anyone think these signings are good?

Someone remind the GM that he's not running an AHL team anymore.

Wrong. The Jets do run an AHL team. In fact the assistant GM is the GM of the AHL team. They need to sign depth players, 4th line players, injury replacement players, etc. It's all part of running an NHL franchise.

Yea because we didn't have plenty of fillers already. Shouldn't of got rid of duds.

If I'm not mistaken Randy Jones is being paid 1.15 Million to be on the NHL team. Even if he is just there as a 7th D, it is a spot that should've been filled with our young guys ESPECIALLY if we aren't going to be contending this year. So far, we've signed three guys that could/should/will fill that 7th D spot.

Also, there's a reason this guy has been dubbed one of the worst defensemen in the league.

I was responding to your question which was "does anyone think these signings are good?", not "does anyone think this particular signing is good?"

Where has he been dubbed one of the worst d-man in the league?

Why is Cheveldayoff prioritizing AHL moves before NHL?

The NHL team could use a top 6 right wing and two thirds of a third line that can PK. Yet he is losing out on the quality of UFA to other GMs because he seems to be focused on AHL team when their are plenty of these players to sign. How is Chevy going to address the team PK needs when the good quality of 3rd liners like a Marty Reasoner are already gone in the first couple of days?
