I wouldn't mind see a Cash and Cann combo in Lake Erie, can't really think of any UFA goalies out there. Cedrick Desjardins would be also great, had some good stats last season, but that makes me wonder why he hasn't signed as of yet with anyone. Especially that Tampa went and signed Garon.
Appearently Desjardins' injured and may not be ready by the time the season starts (according to a thread on the main boards). Here's a list of remaining UFA goalies. Given the fact Varlamov and Giguere both missed time last year, I hope they sign someone who has some NHL experience as their 3rd goalie.

I wouldn't have a problem looking Deslauriers, don't know how content he would be to be playing the A, but when you need a job, you go.
Levasseur is another guy I would look at also.
Amazing to see so many former NHLer's on that list.

He didn't play a game in the NHL last year. Dubnyk outduelled him in camp and he spent the entire year in Oklahoma. Inf fact, the Oilers used Gerber as their 3rd goalie when needed instead of Deslauriers.

Oops, yeah I should have checked my stats before I made that comment.
So maybe he would take the chance and move to another organization.
Don't know where the video is but Mauldin talked about the roles he had to play both in his short call with COL last year and with us. He knows his role here was as scoring forward and he proved he can do that. All hockey players who consider themselves professionals do...
I am not at all worried about the team they'll ice here aside from goaltending. Also, not that he'd come back but I would take Weims again. He's a sure fire fan favorite but I wouldn't kick an NHL'er earning their way back to the show out of the building...
Cash signed with Philly/Phantoms, who will start in the net ? Grahame UFA, Cann, someone else ? I think Pickard is too young to play in the AHL, isn't he ?
Kind of a tricky situation here. They have to get a guy who actually won't mind playing in the AHL, yet they should be getting a guy who can still play in the NHL in a pinch. McElhinney perhaps...?
EDIT: Whoops, never mind. Phoenix has him.
I suppose Joey MacDonald fits the bill best amongst the remaining free agents.
Cann is deserving of another shot...being 20 and coming off a concussion is not the fairest start to a pro career...now hes 22 and has some experience, he'll be good especially if he comes in the way he did last year (1/2 game shutout against st louis preseason, 2 shutouts preseason for the monsters before being sent straight to the central)...I think fans just need to get on board with this kid and show him some support...everybody has only bashed him since he got his concussion but last year he showed some really really good stuff...Would not be suprised if he got some show time this year considering giggys and varlamovs frequency with injuries
