A couple of comments from folks on the monsters forum:

http://forums.lakeeriemonsters.com/e...1/m/3434013528

Based upon all of the cumulative information I've seen so far, Hishon is on the camp roster, but no one has confirmed seeing him there yet.

edit: oops. didn't see Ronaldo's previous post mentioning this.

It seems everyone is starting to get the info so I won't rehash what has been posted. I will say a #38 jersey was supposedly present during media/pictures but Hishon was not. With his twitter account suddenly going quiet, no sightings in LE, and continued generic responses from the organization... It may be some time before some concrete info is provided.

Connolly is there but wasn't on the roster. Can't go off one scrimmage.

True. I'm just going off of what the team has published about the camp.

Lets wait and see why he's not participating, shall we avs19? For all we know it could be personal reasons or the "treatment" he's taking if he's taking it is for something completely unrelated to his whiplash.

Seriously. He's potentially their best player, and should be the most hyped as the only 1st round pick on the team (unless I'm forgetting someone). The fact there's no interviews, sightings, or hype somewhere on him is worrisome.

This is like the Mueller situation all over again.

Good start to the preseason. Despite no Olver, Connolly, Barrie, or Gaunce...they had a strong showing. If Sgar is given time and space, he looks like he could do some damage. It's only one game but Aitto showed well behind what would be considered a mediocre defense on paper.

Here's a recap: http://lakeeriemonsters.com/news/news/?article_id=1743

Aittokallio was 19/20, Kieran Millan stopped all 11 shots he faced.

from what I gathered via radio (so this could be completely off)

-Pickard was solid, Patterson was questionable
-Gaunce was a rock on defense, barrie and carey were the offensive gurus from the back end
-Trollver's gonna troll
- Sgarbossa seems like the only real offensive force of the forwards, granted heard seems like the go-to guy for two way play and faceoffs
-choiunard and pock are 3rd pairing AHL guys

Carey is a forward. Him and Malone have looked good together. Sgarbossa is not alone. An entire scoring line (Connolly, VDG, G.Walker) did not play in game two. Olver saw time with Malone and Carey and neither are offensive dynamos BUT the line gave GR troubles with Malone and Carey scoring 3 of the 5 LE goals this weekend.

I have no idea why I keep thinking Carey is an offensive D-man, you don't want ot know how many times I've made that mistake

So who are the odds-on goalers to start in LEM?

My money is on Aitto and Pickard, with almost no evidence or reasoning behind it whatsoever.

I guess since Dater is sure that Varly will stay in the KHL, we'll need a backup goaler in COL eventually as well

I would go with Pickard and Aitto from what I'm reading.

Is Dater saying Varly would stay in the KHL for the remainder of the season or permanently?

foppagirl referenced a dater radio interview where he said that Varly could stay in the KHL permanently.

I attribute it to the usual Dater-FUD.

Thanks for the reply. That would stink, but I'm with you. Most likely a "Dater-FUD".
