He looks much better than Elliot IMO.

Barrie played a hell of a game today. Best player on the ice for Lake Erie... probably followed by Carey.

Oh well good effort, Barrie was easily the best player out there.

Pickard looks solid and could be a starter in the NHL someday but Aittokallio looks like he could be a star.

The Monsters are playing tomorrow as well? That's 3 games in a row then a 1 week break and then we face Oklahoma City again. Who made the schedule for the AHL?

I think this goaltender duel between Pickard and Aittokallio is going to be something interesting to watch. In my opinion this duel will take more then one season. I'm hoping that it goes on for about two or three seasons. Friendly competition will be more then helpful especially when the organization doesn't have a full time goalie coach. I could see by in about two to three seasons, a crease duel between Varlamov, Pickard, and Aittokallio. Perhaps even Kent Patterson can push his way in but seeing as how he is in the Central Hockey League I think four to five years would be a more acceptable timeline.

If you were to ask me if any of the goalies get traded I'd say not yet, not for at least 3-4 years. Not until one of them is ready to take the number 1 position or is on the verge of breaking out. If you want my opinion, I'd say sit back and enjoy as we have 3 good goaltending prospects plus the long shot in Kieran Millan, who could easily surprise us all. Lake Erie will certainly be a team worth keeping an eye.

I don't know who, but 3 in 3's are very common for AHL teams. The AHL is a mostly weekend based league, to minimize travel expenses 3 in 3's are quite common as is playing division rivals 10-12 times a season. Hopefully next weekends matchup between these two clubs will be even better than this weekends was. I was pleasantly surprised at how well coached LE was and how solid your goaltending and defense was.

That isn't the actual feed that you pay for though, it is much lower quality than that TBH.

Amazingly, that roster is pretty much exactly as it would have been with or without the lockout (+/- 1 or 2 guys like Olver, Elliott or Barrie perhaps).

Speaking of coaching, anyone that watched the games have some comments about the new LEM coaching staff?

The Barons roster has 3 surefire NHLers in RNH, Eberle, and Schultz and a couple of guys that could've made the club in Paajarvi and Hartikainen. That said we are a pretty deep squad beyond the NHL guys so it made it all the more impressive that you guys took 1 of 2 games from us and lost by the slimmest of margins in the other.

Between Sportsnet and Leafs tv they're showing 30 toronto games. Not sure about the others.

Not sure if it's been asked or not, but why isn't Mike Connolly playing? Same with Luke Walker? Hurt?
