That's because Milbury isn't the GM anymore. Seriously, why did it take so long for him to get canned?

Sedin & Sedin traded for Malkin & Fleury.

Then Luongo for Iginla.

Nashville might be up to something. They have a worse offense than Minnesota did last year.

If we call the trade, it's not much of a "WOW, REALLY" trade is it? What's the point.

I'm with you. Nashville has been way too quiet so far. I bet they are working on something.

Some rumors floating around about Lecavalier to the Leafs. I personally wouldn't believe them, most rumors are lies, especially ones relating to the Leafs (Burke tends to be pretty secretive, virtually all of his trades with the Leafs have come completely out of nowhere), but if it happened, that would be quite the big/crazy trade.

Penner or 1st, Bernier, Voynov, Parse, 2nd

for

Parise and Clarkson- (Can play right wing on the 3rd line)

Would that be enough ? ....Im a little concerned on how Parise will respond after his injury, he might slow down depending on how serious it was i mean the guy only played 13 games so i would be hesitant to give up Penner. I think Penner due to the fact that every indication leads me to believe he is working out hard is going to step up big this year and become that strong power forward that we are going to love and fit into our plans long term. Dean is going to have a hard on for Penner if he performs well.

To Washington: Pavel Datsyuk (Gives Ovechkin a veteran Russian center to play with)

To Detroit: Nicklas Backstrom (Gives Henrik Zetterberg a young Swedish center to play with)

Obviously won't happen, it would be a blockbuster trade no doubt, but Datsyuk will finish his career as a Red Wing and according to that long contract for Backstrom, he will do the same with the Capitals.

No Meeting of the Minds

NSH moves Shea Weber for offensive F, 2nd pairing D plus picks.

For some reason, they have difficulty hanging onto developed D-men.
