Gagner is nowhere near Dubinsky's worth and Gilbert is a spare part.
Start with MPS. Add from there.

I will only trade him if we get back a major upgrade at LW or some serious assets. MPS and a 2012 1st rounder would do.
I know it is an overpayment but Dubi is a fan favorite, it will take an overwhelming offer.
Added a question mark to the thread title. Hopefully, that helps.
You look down the left side and I just don't see how the Rangers can part with a player like Dubinsky right now. If you believe that Richards will help Dubinsky take his offensive game to the next level, I question whether an overpayment on Edmonton's part makes it any more palatable. Like most, I'm passing.
my original proposal was Duby + Vtank or pick for MPS if strait up wasnt gonna do it.
Not that I want to trade Duby, just humoring the OP. I've been a Duby fan since his first call up. So much so that I used to take alot of crap on puckdaddy boards before I found this place. So its gratifyin to see him come around the way he has and still showing signs of more to come but not yet to the point that anyone worrys it will never come if you know what I mean. I always said he reminds me of a young Andrychuck (took alot of crap for that one too) and in a way I wonder of Torts would agree being he stripped Vinnys C and thought so much of D.A. to give it to him and the team was scrappy as hell after that gesture.
Could play center if needed.
Style translated better to wing.
Good board & corners control.
Scrappy.
Could score & pass equally.
A leader on the ice, while not an elite player, has spurts of controlling the play and changing momentum of the game.
Fights when needed & isnt a punching bag.
Good in his own zone.
The only difference between him and Duby as I see it, Cup aside, is Duby doesn't play in the crease as much as Andrychuk but thats about it.
Brandon Dubinsky would be the perfect player to add to the Oilers. I know he's well liked here, but a lot of Oilers fans are curious as to what it would take.
Starting Offer: Gagner + Gilbert.
You're in Petco Park. We need to be in Citi Field here.

forget Citi Field, you gotta be in Yankee Stadium (Because the mets=poo ) But yes. If we were to trade Dubinsky, we better get some realllllly nice things in return
Instead of Gilbert, give me a 2nd round pick. I might do that.
I might be pushing it, but I love Dubi's game. Dude brings everything. He's a part of our core. I'm not for the idea of picking it apart unless it was a somewhat lopsided deal for us.
I would've totally done this and then I read everyone else's responses.

Nah. Paajarvi has more value than Girardi although I do like Girardi. Reminds me of Jason Smith a lil bit.

I'm under the impression Dubinsky plays center?

I'm gonna need to Google Maps this one.
Well, thanks for being not *****y about it. I'd have to think about a Paajarvi for Dubinksy deal.
If you want Dubi you must include one of MPS, RNH, Hall, Omark those are the only guys id consider. I mean even than those are prospect while Dubi is a proven player who was the best forward last year for this team.
Paajarvi for Dubinsky + seems like the general consensus.
And it's aboot time someone mentions canadian words eh?
That was my awful attempt at being funny. Humour me :p.
But even Paajarvi would be a questionable trade for the Rangers. I mean just because he was picked high does not mean hes a great player. I want to see how he does this year, if he puts up 50 points well that good but were not goin to trade Dubi for a guy that puts up 50 points but for a guy who does it, and we think can put up a lot more one day. Why would we want to move Dubi for a guy like Gagner who barely cracks the lineup, and we dont really need D.
Gagner is talented but we have enough small centers. And centers in general. We would want to replace that LW slot. I would want Paajarvi + a 2nd OR 3rd for Dubinsky. I would of course want more but trying to be fair. Paajarvi definitely has great potential and several years from now it might be Paajarvi for Dubinsky + 2nd but today at present trading value, Dubi >>> Paarjarvi until Paajarvi can prove otherwise. Dubi even had a more successful rookie season - granted we had a more successful team and he played with Jagr but I'm sure if EDM had a Lundqvist, they could have done way better for themselves this past season. I won't even bother asking for Hall, RNH, or Eberle.

Thoughts?
I agree for the most part, however Dubinsky isn't nearly as gifted as Andrychuk was. At least not at this point in his career.
We're not trading Dubinsky unless it's for a decent player and a first rounder.
Oilers won't do it. They won't give up that first rounder, which can be a top five pick.
So it really wouldn't happen, in my viewpoint.
No one has been which is nice.
Ya, I wouldn't give up our 1st unless we got yours in return somehow. What about Anisimov? Is he moveable? Similar offer is on the table, maybe Gagner + 2nd?
