I'd really like for us to target Hannan with the loss of Hamrlik. He'd be ideal given the group we currently have. He's 6'1" 225 lbs and a left D.

Markov - Emelin
Hannan - Subban
Gill - Gorges
Weber

Woo.

Points to register

1. Semin could interest the Habs

2. Caps have to sign Fehr, Brouwer and Alzner, they're already near the max

3. Caps offered Semin to all teams in the NHL, and among those interested are the Habs

I didn't realize El Cloun was an actual person, I thought it was a joke name for Eklund.

He's saying the Habs could be interested in Semin, and the Caps have no Cap (hehehe stupid pun) due to the need to sign the players mentioned.

The Caps have offered Semin to every team in the league, and the Habs are among those interested.

1. Semin could be of interest to the Canadiens.
2. With Fehr, Brouwer and Alzner to sign, Capitals are almost basically at the cap ceiling.
3. Capitals would have offered Semen to every team in the league and the Habs are among the interested teams.

It's just a French version of Eklund.

Ek-lund = El-cloun

What would you offer for Stamkos?

Some blogger on Hockeybuzz is saying the Leafs could offer Kadri, Schenn and a couple 1st for him...still don't think that would work as Kadri is still a question mark, Schenn is a stay at home Dman and those picks could end up being high picks from 15 up and maybe all busts.

I'm sure the Bolts would be asking for a top forward, a good Dman, top prospect and pick.

Habs would have to offer a Cammalleri, Subban, Leblanc and a 1st.

I don't think any single player is worth what it would cost to get Stamkos...

Never underrate where a franchise goaltender may lead you to.. Price is obviously a super talent, he has everything to become the best goaltender of his generation, the only other goaltender I think could have as much potential than Price is Rinne..

Would you have traded Patrick Roy for an average starter + an elite defenseman?

Pls for the love of all this holy, stay away from Alexander Semin.

I find he is a fine player, but he would be a disaster with the Habs. Imagine him and Martin - like oil and water

Oh and according to Caps board, they are fine a Poti and Fehr will be on LTIR - not sure why though - and at some point they are bound to come back no?

Price is on his way to become as valuable if not more valuable than Ovechkin or Crosby.

I don't believe in all these rumors but the only good thing about Semin is that he has a 1 year deal, if it doesn't work out we aren't stuck with him and if it does we can sign him. All depends what the heck the Caps would want in return, I wouldn't give much for him

cuz Ovie is slowing down with the scoring & Crosby is concussion man ?

to be honest, as much as I think Price is skilled & has potential... he's got quite a way to go yet imo.

*************** ******* ********
There's a rumor that the #Caps have made Semin available for trade (confirmed by 2 sources). Will try to find out more (teams interested)

What would we offer for Semin? I would offer AK and a 2nd round pick and/or Nash/Carle.
I don't know what exactly the lines would be though..

Please don't post in this topic solely to complain about the validity or the track records of the sources used (El Cloun, ***************, etc). The entire point of this topic is that any and all non-credible sources can be discussed.

If you don't like it, don't come in. And if you do come in, don't complain about it.

Semin would be a nice addition. Doubt we have the assets required. People mention AK but he's also UFA in a year so I don't see the appeal from caps.

Isn't the only reason they'd trade away semin is because of cap issues? If that's true then I think they'd want prospects and draft picks in return as they already have players to fill their spots

No, I think he retweeted that proposal because it was stupid.
