havlat gets injured during the regular season, then returns in time for a sick run in the playoffs and helps the sharks deliver that oh-so precious cup to the great ppl of SJ

"I think as a goal scorer and a player, you want to be that guy," Heatley said Sunday. "I'm excited to be in Minny; I've got a lot of ties to Minny. I obviously went to school in Madison and have a lot of friends in Minny. I'm excited to be that guy, for sure."
News flash, you suck and can't skate to save your life

That is why you are now a 26 goal scorer in 82 games with Joe Thornton.

And you got no heart nor compete level on top of that = USELESS 7.5 million cap hit hockey player

Get real.

Dude is as slow as molasses and totally infective in the pace of playoff hockey. Have you seen him the last 2 playoffs in SJ? He ****ing sucks!

Last year in the playoffs he was the major GOAT doing nothing but taking the backbreaking penalties. This year he out did himself, he was totally invisible and useless.

3 goals and 6 pts in 18 playoff games? haha

Seems to me he had a ~40 goal season before that. I will go out on a limb and say that you're a Sens fan.

^ Your bitter. Just admit it. And Thornton has been diminishing as well and has been considered a playoff choker...hmm...

To those that don't know the Wild organization; this trade makes total sense for the future of the organization.

We have a lot more play makers than guys willing to shoot in this organization.

Havlat (gone), Koivu, Bouchard, Brodziak, Cullen have always been the pass first, shoot second type of players.

With Phillips (who could be in the AHL next year), Haula, Granlund (who should make the roster next year) and even Coyle as guys that pass first and shoot second later, Minnesota need to get rid of one and get a shooter.

Heatley does that.

Especially with Granlund coming over next year. He would slide into the top 6 where Havlat would have been.

So we would have had Setoguchi and Latendresse as shooters. Granlund, Bouchard, Koivu, Cullen, Broddie as passers. Too much cycling.

This gives Minnesota a more balanced approach that they haven't had since Rolston and Gaborik left.

He scored 39 goals with Thornton. He scored 26 with Couture.

Believe me, Heatley is not even a player worth to be bitter about anymore.

Enjoy.

All this Heatley hate is starting to piss me off. He wasn'ta good fite in San Jose. That's all. Sure, he's getting older and he's not putting up elite numbers anymore, but he's still a quality hockey player and was a great teammate with the Sharks.

Hmm, seems to me like he's slowly diminishing in his capacity. And funny how Jumbo Joe had one of his worst seasons in like 10 years and no one blinks an eye about that.

Hell, he lost 20 assists in one year.

So people in Minnesota don't like "Minny"? You learn something new every day.

Even in Ottawa, when he wasn't scoring he was useless hockey player. But things like that get over looked when you are converting Spezza passes for back to back 50 goals seasons.

26 goals and 60 pts is just unacceptable for what else he brings to the table, or better yet doesn't. He is SLOW, non physical, lazzy, ZERO motor to his game and is a floater. That is why he looks lost in playoff games. Even when he tries to get the motor up like in those last few games in SJ vs. Canucks (cuz dude was humiliated by the media even in a place like California wondering what happened to him) his lack of foot speed really sticks out like a sore thumb. It is as if he skating in mud.

Was not expecting this but now that the trade is done kind of not surprised, at least from the Heatley point of view. The dude seems to outstay his welcome faster and faster these days.

Depends on who you ask, and what the content is.
I, personally, don't mind it as long it's not thrown around.

Now it's a thread talking about the Sharks. Was starting to wonder what happened to HF's hate on all things Sharks.

He became an all around player not just an offensive player. That is why his point total went way down this season.

As a general consensus, I don't think Wild fans hate the Sharks. There were a few of us rooting for you throughout the playoffs, and especially hard against Vancouver. I don't think that was aimed towards a "We hate the Sharks" post but rather "You facts and hatred seem to be misplaced" post.
