These trades plus the Gagne trade will make me jaded for a long time. At this point I don't care who they trade, when they trade, where they trade or how they trade players on this team.
We've still got the man that was drafted higher than both of them: Braydon Coburn.
Coburn helped on "The Shift"
But Mike Richards is what gives me chills here. (Well that and the epic music man )

Win a cup or GTFO you piece of *****.
Honestly, I would say jaded is the perfect word to describe myself over all of this myself. I honestly think this franchise needs to be in someone elses hands (whether it be GM or as high as ownership if need be). This new "direction" is half-baked.

I will NEVER forget that shift. At that moment, I felt like Richards would will us to the Cup if he had to.
He went under the knife after the season due to a/some cartilage tears in his wrist.
I'd hazard to guess that played a factor.
Oh come now Opy.
Injuries shouldn't matter, and don't count. Professional athletes are supposed to be robots. Anything less than perfection, regardless of the reason, is unacceptable. (also see: Jeff Carter).
However, we did see a bit of that Richards, despite fighting a wrist injury, when he dove to block a shot at the end of a game the Flyers had no chance to win. I'm sure that was by accident though.

Athletes shouldn't be expected to give it their all. Richards was doing too much.
I understand that, and that would account for his low goal total, but since when is your wrist connected to your heart?
I was honestly going to flame you, but I think what I was going to say would invite my first infraction. So i'll just let Samel L Jackson explain my emotions.

Not from this guy. I always had love for Richards and Carter, call me an "apologist"...I appreciate core members who are key contributors to staying competitive/successful. It seems to be a dying appreciation.
