I just want the ****er to compete in the post season. Thought he turned the corner a bit in the Rags series...then back to being Semin against Tampa.

I dunno. Something has to give.

I'd make it a point not to sign him until the off-season. Maybe that gives him an extra kick in the pants.

After watching Bogosian for 3 seasons I am becoming more and more convinced he is a classic 'great tools no toolbox' player. He'll be a serviceable player in the league for a long time but I don't think he is ever going to be any kind of a difference maker. I also expect him to be moved around a lot. Think a bit better Eminger when it is all said and done...

Everyone on the team was "Semin" against Tampa. Wish anyone had any idea why...

Actually in particular I wish Boudreau had any idea why.

Semin will have some gritty but skilled linemates to play with this season - he'll respond well to that with a more consistent effort.

I have to agree with HSHS, no return justifies trading Semin except for a developed second-line center. Even then, Semin brings a unique skillset to this team that should mesh well with this new bunch.

I concur. Inconsistency will always be a common word with Semin.

I wonder what it would take to get Berglund from Blues, if at all possible, which I don't believe it is... He would be a perfect fit..?

According to Helperl, Sloan is close to signing with a team, but no further specifics could be provided.

Anyone heard the rumors of the Caps and possibly Ottawa or Calgary involved in a trade

Fehr to the Peg for Paquette and a 4th.

A bit underwhelming, but that's the domino I suppose.

blah trade, but Fehr should be pleased to be headed home if he had to be traded

Just got off the phone with Fehr, who sounded frazzled and didn't have time to talk. Hope to speak with him on #Jets conf call soon.

I think at this point another trade is going to be a matter of preference.

I don't see Semin moved unless its truly for a blockbuster defenseman. He's their only true sniper behind Ovy and during a cup run that's essential.

If anything I see Schultz getting moved out if only to bring in Hannan at a discount. However, it appears the only people dissatified with Schultz are on these boards and not in the front office so this is highly unlikely.

The Caps are done. This was a move they were going to have to make at some point anyway so making it now makes some sense. The team you see now is the one they will go into the regular season with.

Well, if nothing else, in a very deep draft, we are collecting loads of extra picks and have only given away the Arnott pick. Not bad. It's very disappointing to get so seemingly little back for Fehr though, really disappointing. I could see him becoming a pretty good player if he could stay healthy. I'm hard pressed to see how we come out the better in this deal, but at least I'm not really worried about Alzner so much anymore.

Looking at the Hershey Bears roster on the website, I see Mathieu Perreault with an "X" by his name, which means no longer with the team.

Looking here, I see no mention of Perreault.
Does this mean that he was waived by the Caps and its affiliates?
