Yes, they played it for all the Dogs goals.

Is that new this year? I thought the habs didn't own the rights to that song anymore. Curious.

Hopefully Avtsin continues that into the season.

Anyone going to the game tonight in Drummundville? I can't find the roster anywhere.

Two goals in his first game is a pretty promising start.

wow that seems kind of strange, but I guess it's round 2, Mayer vs Riopel.

Nice of the coaching staff to put Dumont, St-Denis and Lefebvre on the ice to open the game.

Went to the game tonight in Drummundville. I enjoyed it much, good game. I really liked what I've saw from DeSimone and St-Denis. Avtsin had a strong game too but didnt put any points.

Didnt think much of Stejskal, Mayer and Willsie (even though he scored the GWG in the last minute of play). Mayer looked really shaky. Alex Henry is slow even for the AHL, too.

Dumont got the first star. He played well but you just knew he was gonna get the first star since he's a former Drummundville Voltigeur.

I hope in the end it would mean Lawson and Delmas in Hamilton. Don't know the Wheeling situation but you think that Pittsburgh will send a goalie but if not, I would send both Mayer and Rìopel there. If Riopel does well, maybe he'll end up being signed by Hamilton but playing for another ECHL team.

No, the Hurricanes have been with the Florida Everblades for years.

No New York Rangers, Last season we had dual affiliation with Philadelphia and New York. Nicola was on a AHL Contract with Adirondack.

Is Nattinen healthy yet? I'm really not sure what to expect of him, I liked him in the WJC but he had a poor season.

If Riopel was signed to a minor league deal he could be loaned to a CHL (central hockey league) team without an affiliation (or Mayer could be loaned there). The Dogs had Delmas in the CHL for part of last year.

Delmas played 5 of 18 games in two months down there in Wichita, it wasn't much of a good development environment for a young goaltender.

As for Riopel, I think they just needed a somewhat capable goalie to back up Mayer in case something would have happened during the game and that was available from a reasonably short driving distance.

We have 3 goalies in the system, two of them are 21, one will probably go to Wheeling, I see no need to add a 4th goalie.

So here's how Hamilton is shaping up. Season starts on Saturday

Forwards
Avtsin, Berger, Conboy, DeSimone, Dumont, Lefebvre, Nättinen, Palushaj, Schultz, Trotter, Willsie, Blunden, Engqvist

Defense
Dame-Malka, FitzGerald, Henry, Mitera, St-Denis, Stejskal

Goalies
Mayer

Injured
Leblanc (hasn't been cleared yet?), Bishop, Masse (day to day), Delmas (out a week or so), Lawson (day to day), Nash, Fortier.

There's also the tryouts, Tony DeHart, Josh McFadden, Nicola Riopel and Ben Winnett.

If Leblanc was injured, how come he was cut by the Habs? Why wasn't he on the IR, like Fortier last year and Schultz last week?
