I was thinking that having Parise on the left side of the most likely Richards/Gaborik line would be sick. With the current $15.9 million in cap space, and signing all of our FA exluding Prospal, Frolov, and maybe Eminger. If we then trade away Boyle to make some space, we can give an offer sheet to Parise, and besides, We dont really care about our relationship with the Devils so it does not matter. Any thoughts/Opinions???

It's not about OUR relationship with the Devils, it's about the Devils' relationship with us. THEY aren't going to trade Parise to us so that we can have an insane first line. Won't happen. Also, we can't offer sheet him, he is filed for arbitration... So your proposal makes no sense anymore.

Jaime Lannister has better hands than Brian Boyle.
The Devils elected to take Parise to arbitration, so therefore the Rangers cannot present him with an offer sheet.
The only avenue open to acquire Parise is via trade. You can bet that the devils will not trade him to the Rangers unless the Rangers massively overpay.

It's not about the relationship with the devils. Offer sheeting a player gives you a bad rep around the entire league. Sather is not about to test those waters. Plus with the way this organization has been building sather is not about to lose multiple 1st round picks while at the same time gaining a bad rep around the league.
Exactly why we're not getting Malkin AND Iginla. Did you forget there is a such thing as a salary cap? Or that Pittsburgh would never make a deal of that magnitude with the Rangers?
Get off fantasy island.
Not to mention you're dealing AA, Cally, Dubi, and stepan. Two of those guys being the heart and soul of the rangers. All four of them are part of the core.

Yes. Sarcasm indeed. I thought the very premise of trading the pack line for Malkin and trading Staal, Girardi, and McD for Iginla would've been a sarcasm indicator, but I wasn't too sure, so I added the </sarcasm> after. Apparently that wasn't good enough either.

I apologize. The site is not loading the posts up right away, or at least I did not see that post with the sarcasm below it.
