Not sure about the lineup with all the moves Gilmour has made. Sure to be plenty of young kids. If Gill can make it work they should have a very good team in 3 years.

Max Domi's related to Tie, right? Does he play like his dad or no?

Max is Tie's son and he plays nothing like his father . Max is a highly skilled player who apparently will never play a game for the Frontenac's but will be traded to London in August .

In an interview Matthew Peca gave in Tampa Bay he is at least considering coming to Kingston but no final decision yet.

this season is looking pretty bleak...(again).

i'll be getting another 12-ticket flex pack as a gift. what should i be looking forward to?

I'm actually okay with that deal. He's a final year player with not much upside (ie. not really good enough to play in your top four), and since they're rebuilding this year, I'd rather that ice time be given to someone who will be here for more than one season.

As long as Springer owns the club, that's pretty much the forecast for any season, no matter how much "on paper" talent the team might have returning.

On the Frontenacs? Nobody, really. But if you can select your games, I'd try for Oshawa or Niagara in the East, and maybe Kitchener and Sarnia in the West. Windsor and London are usually fun teams to watch, too.

Avoid Belleville though. That organization's in a bit of a rut, and the Kingston/Belleville rivalry is not even close to as heated as the old days. Now their games are basically two mediocre teams playing emotionless hockey, rather than the wars that each of their games were in the past.

That's sad but with the word on the street to avoid both Belleville and Kingston that has to be rough for kids on both those teams no? I mean both have had poor seasons, especially most recent as last season and are now seemingly looking forward to yet another poor season. How would it feel to know you're burning another season off when most of these kids are looking to try and get drafted to the NHL?

agreed, it is pretty sad. but as a fan, you have to admit it's a lot more exciting to see your team win or play a tight game, than it is to see them dominated by an opposing team.

i will still go to the games win or lose, but it's more to watch the young players develop and have a look at top-end players on other teams. for the latter reason i end up being selective of which games i go to.

can anyone tell me about Mazurek's style of play?

it was nice to see Spooner, Werek and Gudbranson get their ELC's signed.

I was just leaving Jack Astors in London when I notice a thinner verison of Bobkov in the parking lot getting his Ducks pads.

Kid certainly doesn't look anything like when he arrived in London last year. Looks fits and definitly no bulging mid section. Looks like he's taken this offseason seriously which is good for him... If he gets the work load and shots I think he's going to get in Kingston Igor may look a little to slender..

The person I was commenting to said he/she was getting a 12-game package, so I was suggesting the more exciting games to attend. Not meant as a malicious knock against the Bulls, but just that if he/she is limited to only 12 games this year, there are teams that are going to be more bang for his/her buck.

http://www.kingstonfrontenacs.com/pa...ng-camp-roster

do they still have to put Domi on the training camp roster even though there is a trade in place with london?

From what I understand, he has to be on the roster in order for them to be eligible to get a compensatory pick(s) for him.

The Kingston Frontenacs announce today that they have traded their first round selection in this past May’s 2011 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection Max Domi to the London Knights in exchange for Erie’s 2nd Round Pick in 2012, Guelph’s 2nd Round Pick in 2012, (both previously acquired by the Knights) and London’s own 2nd Round Pick in the 2015 Ontario Hockey League Drafts to Kingston.

Are you talking about this week? It's still exhibition. Regular season home opener for Kingston is September 23rd, which is next week, against Oshawa. Fronts actually open on the road on the 22nd in Barrie.

To answer your question, no. I work late that day, so I'm going to just watch whatever is left of the game on television when I get home.

As a former fan, I have a question for the present fans of the team. What happened? How did they get this bad? One grumpy star and no depth anywhere. Is Gilmour to blame? Have they drafted that badly in the last 4 years that the cupboards are bare and the team is left signing FA and walk ons?

Take it from someone that has followed the OHL for many years and observed. It all comes down to the owner. Period. At some point in time you can only get so unlucky. I currently follow Sarnia - in the last few years I have been vocal about the owners selling the team. To make a long story short, there were several people that attacked me, but were silenced when I published the following results from the 1999 season forward. Kingston fans will be interested;
