Actually, it was $6.5, but it's no biggie.

I'm glad for both sides on this deal. Feaster can rest assured that Kubina will be in a Bolts uniform for 2 years while Kubina has the security of making $6.5 million over the next 2 years.

Next up for the Lightning: Fedotenko.

I'm loving the arbitrators current decisions. They're reasonable and very fair both to the player and the team. 6.5M over two seasons for Kubina is a good deal for everyone involved.

Very reasonable, though I would have preffered something unexpected, like 5.85M over 2 years. Its about time a player get handed an undeniable defeat in an arb case.

That's a good price for Both Parties, the Arbitrators are doing a good job so far.

Feaster walks from this he should be put in an insane assylum.

Read: Gonchar. He got his hopes crushed.

Fixed it for you (posters can't change thread titles once they post them).

Totally reasonable contract, he was offered $3, got $3.1 for next year, I didn't think he'd get $3.7 or even close to it.

Suprisingly the arbitrators haven't laid an egg so far, let's see how long this lasts.

You could say the same about $1 million, too, couldn't you? We being more than happy with this kind of money is not at all the point. The guy said "Its about time a player get handed an undeniable defeat in an arb case." From what I read Gonchar was asking for, he got an undeniable defeat.

Right. I didnt see this on TSN must not have looked hard enough. 3.1 is close to what Feaster was offering (3 if I remember right) and 3.4 is close to what Kubina was looking for (3.7) Good deal for both sides. For how Kubina played in last years playoffs against Jagr and this entire season being part of the cup run, I'd say money well spent.

I'd have to ask:

Why must you turn Trade Rumors and Free Agent Talk into a house of lies?
