We don't know what the roster looks like yet.

Washington: Got way better
Philadelphia: Totally new team, who knows
Boston: Not many changes, but this is a veteran team, another year hurts 'em
Pittsburgh: Lost a few guys to UFA but returning will be Crosby and Malkin.
Tampa Bay: Will ride a 42-yo goalie to the ground. Still soft on defence
Montreal: Didn't do much of anything while competitors got better
Buffalo: Renewed faith in the organization and some key off-season signings, should improve on last season
NY Rangers: Have a long-standing history of picking the highest name UFA and going busto. Plus the BR contract could cost them some key RFAs.
Carolina: Not much improvement, and their divisional opponents all upgraded
Toronto: I like what happened, should build on last season, with Reimer and Gusty
New Jersey: They proved they can win, but yet ANOTHER year on Brodeur and who will coach them?
Winnipeg: Not many upgrades but a young team +another year things could turn the corner.
Ottawa: Most likely getting a lottery pick
Florida: Could've had a chance but the South-East got better with them.

So in my opinion Philly, Montreal and Boston could be sliding out of the playoffs (I know, they just won the Cup but historically the winner has struggled in the next season, and age is a factor.)

That leaves 3 slots open, so I could see the Leafs making it, especially if they get solid goaltending.

Discuss here, we hardly need a poll as well.
