Burke probably isnt a fan of his lack of contact and I also think I remember him mentioning that hes pretty shy and doesnt like the media attention much.

Semin has actually been more physical in the past year. He even threw a good number of body checks (I know because I had to take a shot for each one... ugh...).

That said Toronto and Washington are terrible trading partners where Semin is concerned.

And the shy/media attention comment is right on the button.

Ya' I noticed that also. I'm also confused why this thread has gone on for 5+ pages, when most Leafs fans have been very clear that they aren't interested in Semin. Are Caps fans trying hard to sell us on him for a reason? Or are they just offended that we don't want their player? (who incidentaly only has 1 year left on his contract).

I also get a charge out of reading the comments from other fanbases regarding Leafs fans. We're annoying for wanting players, and annoying for not wanting others. What can you do?

I think we're mostly just annoyed about people disregarding Semin/Green based on perception/stereotype versus reality and hockey reasons. You'll notice that nobody's really had any problem with the posters who made reasonable points. Of course there are so many Leafs fans that a bunch of ignorant posts are bound to come out... hence 5+ pages of back-and-forth.

Incidentally, it appears that this thread was started by a Leafs fan, although I could be wrong.
