I'll admit that Comeau wasn't higher was a problem. Even then he showed the speed and strength to be an NHL-er. But, at the time, there were legitimate questions about whether Nielsen would be able to withstand the physical play of the NHL. Actually, there are still questions about it. Is there anyone hear that doesn't worry that, for all his positional smarts and intelligence, that just one hit could put Frans on the shelf? He's absolutely shown the ability to be effective without creating contact. But he's also the kind of player that really needs to avoid contact.
I, for one, think that Nielsen chugs a gallon of gatorade before getting weighed. He sure is heck doesn't look almost 190 lbs.
