We do seem to get more called by refs as opposed to our opponents. Maybe it's because of JM's system but I think we have a reputation as hooking and diving slimeballs(paraphrasing). I think it's BS, but it is what it is. Maybe I'm just a homer though.

The great news about having Cole is that neither Darche nor Moen should see a single second of 1st line and 2nd line duty. If there's an injury, just bump AK46 up. Moen must be relieved...

I think your dreaming in technicolour. You are right though, there isn't a reason for them to get time but they will. JM likes to shuffles lines, not nearly as much as Carbo but they will probably get one shift a game or something when he wants to mix things up and AK will be in JM's doghouse at times no matter what.

But they will get dramatically less than last year, which will be a good thing.

The bad news is that Gomez will continue to see top 2 line duty.

Not necessarily, Desharnais may be a small center, however, he is a very intelligent player. Throughout his career, he has continued to excel at every level, posting impressive point totals, and he wasn't too shabby last season with the Habs. Pacioretty said that he had great chemistry with him. I think a second line consisting of Pacioretty-Desharnais-Gionta could work. Desharnais can't do worse than Gomez, and I think he deserves a chance to prove himself in a top 6 role.

I don't see why he deserves a chance over Gomez. Not yet at least.

I don't think Montréal does that kind of stuff. I'm not sure why.

Erik Cole will wear number 72. It's official on the Habs website. Weird choice

They did it yesterday and he even skated. I guess it also depends on the player, vacation or stuff like that when he can come over.

The best term to describe Ryan White unfortunately only exists in French:

Un VRAI

I haven't found a good English equivalent yet.

I mean a big conference where the coach and GM are present. They have a podium type thing.

Montréal just does it with the players to do a little Q and A, do a little skating and that's it.

I guess it also depends who they sign/trade for. Think about it if they would put their hands on a Crosby or Lecavalier you can count on a huge press conference

Cole is going to be motivated, and have a good season guys!!! His banging and crashing, along with Patches, and Kosty will open up some space for the skilled guys....I think this pickup is an underrated one, and he fills a need we have had for seasons....

So true, it's been so many years without us having not only 1, but 2 scoring PF type players (well, perhaps 3 with Kosty), I think a lot of people here just doesn't understand the need PG finally addressed... damn I miss hockey

1. We got a big body to help Cammalleri and Plekanec in the corners
2. Hope that Cole will actually benefit from having Subban and Markov in the PP

In english, when someone says "He's the real deal", it's basically the same thing as "C'est un vrai". JSYK.
