Griffin Reinhart looks like the player for me! Based on my game that I play, "Does he look like an NHLer?", I'd say Reinhart more than passes the test. The kid looks like a Marc Staal-Phil Kessel mutt

Any Weber-lite upside in him?

I'd only take Murray or Rielly if we drafted defenseman.

I want a forward if we don't get one of those 2.

Reinhart looks like a stud, and his name says so. "Griffin Reinhart" has stud written all over it

I'd consider Dumba, but I feel Rielly and Murray are better offensive players and will have greater potential.

Like I said, I'd consider him, but there a lot of players I want before him.

Granted I haven't seen as much of him as I'd like to, but I thought Dumba would have a higher offensive ceiling than Murray. Would like to see more of both this year.

Whoa this is pretty early to be talking entry draft. Did you guys have JT miller being our pick this time last year?

i have this feeling our 1st will be traded for someone like doan, but if kept i'd like to see us go for an offensively gifted forward. who wouldnt ?

Sather rarely trades 1sts and if he does, it's to move up.

The Rangers need prospects, they have no need for Doan if the asking price is a 1st in a deep draft.

It's also never to early to talk about the draft. Is it too early to talk about the 2015 draft when I'm eligible, yes, but not too early to talk about this year's draft.

I don't think anyone really had Miller as our guy last year, a lot of guys wanted Khokhlachev and Biggs. Maybe a few guys considered Miller, but until the end when we had a definite pick, it was hard to think of who we could really get.

It's early to start wishing for picks, but it keeps us going. It's also fun to watch talented prospects.

I get it Jeff, he hasn't traded a first rounder, to me just means he's due

As it stands right now, we aren't going to be trading a first for a rental any time soon. Things could change but as of right now we're drafting.

For Shane Doan, no chance.

Sather most likely won't trade a 1st for a possible rental of Doan's caliber and age.

IF we're talking about acquiring an Elite forward, then I could see Sather trading a 1st, but not for Doan.

Really hope we take the best pure winger available, whoever it is, when our pick comes.

Exactly. This is the draft that you'll want to have a pick in. Until 2015, we probably won't have a chance at this much talent. The Rangers need to take whatever they can get this year.

Hopefully that's Martin Frk and Zach Stepan.

Well I meant more along the lines of if the way we are playing as of late keeps up we aren't going to be going hard at the deadline. But that's a topic for another thread...

Ah, but both apply anyway. At least in draft context they do.

That's why I don't care how we finish this season.

I mean, I'm not rooting against the team, but if by some chance we finished with a Top 5 pick, I wouldn't be hurt at all.

Until we have a definite pick, that's too hard to tell.

I think they might go after Zach Stepan somewhere between the 2nd-4th Rds.

The Rangers will most likely look for a pure offensive player. After drafting McIlrath and Miller, the Rangers need to draft a scorer or a playmaker.

If they finish in the expected 15-22 range, I think they'd pick up Martin Frk. Talented Czech winger with a load of scoring potential.
