We have our first Maple Leafs fan who would do the deal ^.

PS, Booth is not a 3rd liner on a decent team. He may be a third line Left winger on a team like Dallas, Eriksson and Morrow, but he is a good 2nd line Power forward/want to be sniper.

I love it, give those pesky Leafs fans some of their own medicine. Personally, I don't see any reason why this is any more unrealisitic than 99% of the proposals posted by Leafs fans (and note, KNOWLEDGABLE Leafs fans DON'T make rediculous proposals, they lamblast their fellow Leaf fans who ARE out to lunch making rediculous proposals) so sure, go ahead.

This porposal gets two tumbs up from me.

he's florida's version of Kulemin ...big, strong, and can pot 30 goals ...solid top 6, and fringe top 3

No they wouldn't, Kadri has a much higher upside than Booth. This is like saying Oilers would take Grabovski over RNH since he is more proven.

Booth didn't have a great season last year, only 40 points. The Leafs would be better off keeping and developing Kadri.

Rather than just flame away like most other posters, Ill try to give some insight. For the Leafs, David Booth would definitely hold some interest. We do need a power forward, but not at the cost of Luke Schenn. He is one of the best young defenceman out there right now, and the only way we consider moving him would be for a stud number one centre.

Kadri is probably more moveable than Schenn, but I still dont know if Id want to give up on him just yet. If Florida wants a young defenceman, Toronto could probably afford to offer one of Aulie or Gunnarsson, and then include one of Lupul or MacArthur in the package to clear a roster spot and for salary purposes. I dont know if that would get it done? Maybe add a pick as well?

LOL, Why??? Haven't you seen any of the other Leafs trade threads??? Most of the time they expect to be the ones bending everyone else over and they don't even use any Vasoline first. I LOVE this thread.

In the beginning of the season, first 30 games or so, he was rusty as hell. Didn't look the same, looking like maybe the concussions had an impact on his game. The second half of the season though, he looked close to the Booth-preconcussion and that's probably the reason why Tallon didn't trade him off before the NTC kicked in.
Our lines were a complete mess last year, with trading people off, DeBoer shuffling lines every game, it probably was hard for Booth(or any player for that matter) to gel and get comfortable with their linemates.
His ceiling is around 60, but I don't see him being in the low 40's again unless he gets injured. 50-60ppy is where I see Booth averaging from here on out

Gotcha, that's good to hear, I kinda assumed that his concussion had a big affect, but sounds like he bounced back from it in the 2nd half.

this is 100% true, but, what i said was, i think Burke would take that deal.

he's 27, 6' and solid (save for his mushy skull unfortunately)

sans the head injuries, he is similar to Kulemin.

I'm sure you wouldnt trade Kulemin for Kadri ...i know i wouldnt?

It still may take Booth another season or 2 to get back to where he was, but, he's entering his prime, and Burke loves his young vets.

You sound still upset over the Richards and Carter deals. No worries you got Jagr -- he'll fix the locker room.

[QUOTE=sparxx87;34775033] says you.

...yes I did say that, immature comment none the less. Thanks for pointing out its mostly either a very few leaf posters who make terrible ones or new users. Again every fanbase has the same amount of haters/homers, the leafs just have too many fans to make it seem more

To edit the original proposal maybe a weiss for kadri trade? doesnt really help either teams needs tho

I was at first thinking this could almost work if the Leafs had had any need for scoring wingers.

Then I realized I was somehow thinking of Garrison as a defensive blueliner. Whoops.
