Prospects mini camp

I would like to know if someone has any infos on the camp. On O&B.net, last year, they did pretty well by relaying all the infos reported by many members who attended to the training sessions. Is there somebody here who does the same?

Well for the moment, guys are doing off ice exercises so maybe we have to wait until they start on the ice to post any reports. I will check O&B too.

People were saying Aaron Starr looked very good. I think he even moved up and played with Carter near the end of practice.

Ruzicka was not attending because of a visa issue.

Thanks. Hopefully there will be skirmishes there when Hitchcock takes over.

Stephen Wood looked very impressive today. He did the other day as well. He can easily beat a goalie down low (but he is a defenseman).

Voce is tiny. I can't see him being much of an impact player in the NHL if he makes it.

Timonen is small as well. But so is his brother. It will be interesting to see if he or Printz gets a contract out of camp. He is 21 and Printz is 24.

New player at camp was Josh Gratton.

A full report should pop up at the other board.

Hi fellas.
Here are two new reports from the camp, taken on O&B.net :

Report #1

Report #2

It looks like Ben Eager is the real deal at camp. He seems to be awesome by his offensive skills. John LeClair in his prime...

Another report:
http://phillyboard.orangeandblack.ne...threadid=10704

"As told previously, Ruzicka will not be here for this entire Camp. He has had Entry Visa red-tape problems.

Tuesday (7/27/04) at 2:45 PM will be the final on-ice day of this Prospects Camp. We hope to see more scrimmage time.

There will be a second Flyers Prospects Camp. It will start on August 24th, after Team Canada's World Juniors Camp held August 10 to 19 in Calgary. Ruzicka will be here. The second Camp may include additional prospects. TBA.

During this latter August time, the Flyers and Phantoms players will be coming in to work-out and play "pond-hockey". We fans will be able to see the Flyers/Phantoms play and the Prospects play consecutively on the same ice surface. The Flyers/Phantoms usually begin to drift in during the third week of August.

The official Flyers Training Camp is scheduled for September 16. If there is a lockout of the NHLPA players, the Phantoms, Prospects, and free agent invitees will be the Camp players."

I can't stand the second camp to see his potential!

Anyway, thx for the infos Pontifex.

Thanks for the reports and info all

since i am far away from Philly i found this info very useful and informative.

So we do have some promising forward prospects, but it appears most of them are centers. we'll see if they can play the wing.

just to give you a perspective as to where i am at Reg Beauchemin(sp) plays in PA which is 100 miles north of me.

So thanks for the info.
