Any chance we could still bring Lundin back? Really want to see him in a Lightning uniform next season - Gervais can be the new Matt Smaby and Gilroy with Randy Jones' spot.
Lundin is just a smart hockey player - he might need some strength training but that is much easier to rectify than trying to teach hockey IQ. And while Lundin wasn't as effective in the playoffs, it was his first taste of what it takes in the postseason - might be the motivator he needs to add some body strength.
My guess would be Phoenix (Bryzgalov - though he was technically traded, Fiddler and Jovanovski), Florida (Vokoun), Dallas (B.Richards) and then maybe either Nashville (Joel Ward and Sullivan), Boston (Kaberle, Ryder and Recchi) or Vancouver (Torres and Ehrhoff - though they got a 4th round pick for him).

With Tik, Janus, and Nagle all in the minors there really wasn't any place for Desjardins to go except the back-up spot here. Add in a bum shoulder and already signing Garon then it just became not worth bringing him back.
Desjardins if he can get healthy could get some significant NHL playing time since the two goalies Colorado has are made of glass.
Cedrick Desjardins has agreed to a one-year contract with the Colorado Avalanche.
Desjardins had a 2.59 GAA and .905 save percentage in 24 games with AHL Norfolk last season. He also had a 1.00 GAA and .968 save percentage in two contests with the Tampa Bay Lightning.
He'll probably start the 2011-12 season in the minors.
I wish we would have re-signed Desjardins (despite his slowly healing injury). He was very solid in his two NHL games and he did very well in Norfolk. It never hurts to have solid goalie depth. Anyone know the terms? If it's league minimum I'll be a little pissed.
