Liffiton and Blackburn should both play for the Wolfpack this season.

Dan Blackburn is scheduled to attend Rangers assistant and goaltending coach Benoit Allaire’s goaltending camp, beginning July 31 in Montreal

Good sign

Hartford should be stacked with promising d-men, Liffiton, Taylor, Nycholat(signed?), Kinch, Lampman, Rawlyk

Nycholat and Kinch have no promise and will never be pro's.

Our most promising defenseman other then Tyutin, Pock and Kondratiev are

Lampan, Potter, Beranka, Liffiton, Guenin and Taylor

I think Liffton will do well in the AHL. He is a big kid and is used to the physical grind of the dub. Taylor im concerned about, he just dosent seem to have the pedigree and has not had time to learn adn improve that much. I hope both guys do well, I just think liffton will stick whilst Taylor ECHL's it for a year or so.

Cant wait to see how Blackie and Liffton do next year, it will be interesting!

David Liffiton will be 20 on 10/18

He should have been drafted in 2002 but he missed the cut off 9/15 birthdate so he went in 2003.His junior eligibilty is over and can only go back as an overage 20 year old

liffiton turns 20 in october and the CHL considers anyone born in 1984 a 20 year old this year...so he'd be an overager if he goes back

that doesn't mean anything...a player can sign a pro contract and then be sent back to juniors, they just can't return to college

taylor will not be in the echl...if he isn't ready for the AHL then he won't be signed. leaving minnesota early to play in the echl makes absolutely zero sense

It's too early NYR...

to determine if he'll definitely be in Hartford, or if he'll spend some time in the ECHL. His adaptiveness to the AHL game will determine that.

kinch may have no promise, however you are wrong on nycholat, he has the speed, defensive awareness, and some offensive ability, which is enough for him to be able to make the nhl as a 5-6 d-man or a 7 man at worst

he may not be that young, but he has become a better player with age and was the packs best d-man in my opinion during the pack pens series

he isnt afraid of the rough stuff and can clear the crease, i can easily see him maing our team if he plays the way he did for the pack but if he doesnt make it here he could make it elsewhere

As stated I THINK Taylor will go to the ECHL, to me he seems too raw and with the deph of young guys in Hartford I feel he will be the spare part. Guys like State were'nt ready for the AHL and so have done time in the ECHL. Im not comparing Taylor to State before someone grills me.

if blackburn is scheduled to go to goaltending camp b4 training camp begins, does that mean his shoulder is almost fully recovered? or is it some bs that sather is gonna cancel later?

What i don't understand about Blackie's injury is this: in the Draft special that aired last nite(7/28), Blackie is seen doing his workouts, one involved being in water throwing some floating thing around. It seemed like something someone with an injured shoulder shouldn't be doing, but blackie looked fine using the strength in his arms. I asked a friend of mine who was a Division III goalie coach to look at the footage and he said any goalie with an injured shoulder usually wouldn't be doing those kind of exercises unless the injury was minor or almost fully healed.

Nice. Hope Blackie continues to recover well. And this Liftion sounds good. Maybe I'll get to see him play a couple of games at Hartford.
