I am still glad George showed his balls and went out got the guys he wanted even if he is now brown capping.
Agree on every point.
In playoffs our top 6 besides Backstrom did all right, its the bottom six that didn't come thru, imo, like Bergenheim's, Purcell's, Marchand's and Ward's did for their teams.

Thanks Vlad. Our bottom 6 was lame. Hendricks among others was invisible.

A GM won't tell you, yeah I was a ****ing idiot. I took the wrong guy, ok? Seething with anger.

It would be cool if he did though.

Count that first as a minus on the ledger someone must be keeping. Ted?

There are a lot of rumours on the Winnipeg forum about Washington also trying to trade Semin to Winnipeg. Any word of that here?

Won't happen - unlike Fehr the Caps can't replace Semin, and the Jets have nothing they'd want to part with which can help the Caps this year. The Caps would probably take less talent back if it resulted in more grit and perhaps more salary cap space, but they're not going to let Semin go for junk and/or futures.

Take a stroll over to the Jets forum here. Many of them expect Fehr to be a 25-30G scorer this year.

They should all have "if healthy" setup as a permanent clipboard item for pasting.

Why can't he be?

BB hampered his potential to a point it boggles the mind, he just flat out hated the guy.

There's no reason he can't score 30 on the Jets if he gets top 6 minutes

Don't injure yourself laughing. It wouldn't surprise me in the least bit if Fehr pulled that off. I'm not at all happy about the trade. Once again we are seeing moves pulled off with the assumption that BB is gold, so it must be the personnel. No way did Fehr get a fair shake in my mind, injury or not. Very sad to see Brads and him go.

Brads, Hannan and Fehr actually did their job, even stepped up in big situations. We let them walk and threw big money at guys who have done that for other cities. Who does that remind you of?

Boudreau's finger-pointing and general lack of accountability is what has drowned this team.

Where's the logic?

The Capitals have shuffled the **** around (outside of the goalie swap) and not addressed their core issues.
While we do seem to be on the wrong end of this move, I've been happy with most of the moves of late.

One question: why do you have Eric Estrada as your avatar?

If he can stay healthy for lets say 75 games...and gets top two line minutes along with PP time...I could see him netting 30.

Big if on the staying healthy part but yeah if he can pot 21 in 69 games getting 12 minutes a game with 3rd line linemates and with little PP time he can pot 30 as a top 6 winger getting decent PP time. The question is will he be able to actually play say 70 games or not?

I could see Fehr hitting 30 with icetime and staying healthy. I think he's a lock for 15-25 next year assuming healthy.

fehr could score 30, but its more likely he gets 15 or 20. that will depend on the amount of pp time he gets and the number of blow out loses he plays in. being behind a lot in close games will cut down on his offense.

Young hockey players are... just that. The media obsession now gives them plenty of chances to talk. Ok put their foot in their mouths.

But I think George has been trying to get his hands on a Matt Cooke type, well probably even before he actually acquired Matt Cooke. SDR Mitchell Bruess Paquette, to name a few. I liked Cooke when he was here. If Paqman doesnt religiously watch for NHL news, he may not know the horrible rep the guy has right now.

If he turned out be like Matt Cooke, the only way I would hate him is if he wasn't a Cap. I was super happy we got Cooke back in 2008 and was pushing for him to be resigned.

All he had to say was that he wants to be Dale Hunter, and everyone would be applauding him.
