Excellent !! I love Fehr.

Add him to the list of local boys as well. Winkler native, lives in Winnipeg in the offseason

Hopefully he breaks out. Nice to add another potential 20 goal scorer.

Excellent move.

He had 20+ goals in 09/10. Sizable winger with a good shot. He's had injury issues, but if he can come back strong, he can become a reliable 2nd/3rd line winger.

This is buying low, and addressing a dire need.

These are definitely the type of moves I like to see us make. Great job taking advantage of the financial situation in Washington.

Wasn't Paquette our 19th ranked prospect or something like that?

This is the scenario I was talking about since July 1, 11.

Teams gorged themselves on free agents now need cap space so that will make them a willing trade partner for the Jets.

I just hope this trend of every player they acquire being from Winnipeg doesnt continue. I understand it being a bonus and all, but that shouldn't affect decisions in any way.

He played last year here in Atlanta for the Gladiators.
Played on a team that was decimated by call ups from the Chicago Wolves

I didn't even know he was from Winnipeg, lol.

It's becoming like trade proposals that involve the Wild. Always gotta have a token Minnesotan in there.

So, this is what we should expect from the top-6, I think:

Ladd-Little-Wheeler
Kane-Burmistrov/Antropov-Fehr

If Antro centers that 2nd line, you got a HUGE line. Either way, if Fehr can bounce back, and Kane can progress, it's a solid top-6.

Fehr has way more potential than he was able to show in Washington. Let's hope Noel gives him a more appropriate role than the Caps did.

Great move.

Well he's not from Winnipeg... he's from Winkler You can tell by his last name, haha.

Hopefully he can bounce back from injuries and take advantage of the extra icetime.

if the Ladd/Lits/Wheeler line has the same chemistry it did last year that will help a ton. Antropov needs a bounce back year for sure. Kane and Burmy taking steps forward will be the biggest factor though IMO

As soon as we get Toews, Zajac and Keith we should stop.

Not from Winnipeg. Manitoba, yes, Winnipeg, no.

Technically he's from Winkler which is about an hour and 45 minutes southwest of Winnipeg. Anyone I know from Winkler lives in the city though and he's no different.

Keith was just born in Winnipeg, he does not consider Winnipeg home like Toews, Fehr, etc do. He grew up in Thunder Bay
