Ya i saw that, i'm not even surprised at this point

Looks like there's nothing JJ Abrams can't do

When you get picked to direct movies for Star Trek AND Star Wars you basically own the world

Good thing i like him, i love Valve, hopefully it happens

JJ is the heir to the thrown of geeks ATM, and he got into this position because he got adopted by Spielberg (Who is the ancient dying king and patriarch of geeks) to be his successor.

Half Life movie has potential. Not sure about Portal. Must be some serious money flowing for either side to consider this.

I'm pretty sure valve and Abrams could make everything forever if they wanted to.

Even though the half life/portal universe is probably my favorite from gaming, I'm extremely skeptical about this project. I almost hope it doesn't happen because there would be so much hype behind a movie like this it would almost never live up to expectations.

A Half-Life movie directed by Abrams? Yes please. You've got to wonder where he could find the time though.

Kinda wish Valve would hurry up and finish HL3 first before this sort of thing.

The eternal question:

How many years does it take Valve to produce the most highly awaited sequel (And the ending to the trilogy) to a game in history?

I really don't get the excitement over JJ. I haven't seen his Mission Impossible movie yet, but Star Trek was just "OK," Super 8 was meh, and this is the guy who did Lost. I don't think the guy is a reason to NOT see a flick, but I feel like the IP he's been getting would be better off in the hands of someone else (at least based on his current track record).

Finish HL3 pl0x.

I worry about a Half-Life movie because it will give Dr. Freeman a voice. He can't have a voice. It's like when Mario started talking.
