So I just got back. For starters, Rakell, Lind, Newton and Bobkov where not there this morning.
Tarkki was extremely solid today, he was making so pro looking saves. One chance Perlini had a wide open net and right as the puck is released, Tarkki slid seamlessly to the other post to prevent what I thought was a sure goal. Gibson was a little shaky at first, but he played pretty good towards the end.
Karlsson and Friberg really impressed me. They where fast and shifty. Karlsson can deke, and Friberg has a wicked wrister.
Smith-Pelly, Etem, Clark, and Wagner were playing on a line together and they had some filthy passing plays. I was surprised how well Wagner played, scoring a couple of goals, as did Etem. Etem had one of the prettiest looking goals I have seen in person, skating through a couple of defenders and netting it top corner short side. Smith-Pelly really trimmed down from last year, he looks faster and more polished.
Welinski and Clark where the two stand outs of defense. Clark's offensive game has really rounded it and he was all over the Ice. I was impressed with Welinski's ability to move the puck, and he had a nice little goal at the beginning of the scrimmage.
That's all that I can think of off the top of my head. Sorry for the sloppy post, I'm in a hurry to hit the sack. Ask questions if you want, Ill respond after my nap.
Edit: Cramarossa is very fast

Here's a quick clip of a Dahlstrom goal I managed to get: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BS5Fh0t6LrE
Wagner and Etem were probably our best looking prospects. Smith-Pelley was impressive too. Gibson looks a bit raw, but should benefit from playing at teh U of Michigan. Big body too.
having watched DSP and Cramarossa since they were 15-yr olds in their OHL draft year, you guys should be REAL excited... i've also tried to follow Etem's progress as well, and i'm now a big Ducks fan.
DSP has solid speed and is generally a dump & chase kind of guy with a WICKED wrister/snap shot. doesn't have a booming slap shot, but really plays aggressively. he'll stand in front of the net, or off the defender near the face-off circles and wait for a deflection or one timer, respectively. the guy is a beast. not bad for a player who spent time on the 2nd line as a 15-yr old!
Cramarossa is a BIG agitator. he's got some speed and some offensive skill, but i'd consider him more of a Brad Marchand than a Patrice Bergeron - good hands to score or fight.
living in Ontario, i don't get the chance to see a ton of Ducks games, but i will be ordering the NHL Centre Ice package to keep tabs on this team - especially if DSP and Etem make the squad.
i'll be checking into the forums regularly to see what you guys are saying.
