IMO, we are going to look back in that in a few years and wonder what the hell we were thinking...at least I hope so anyways.

I'm starting to think most people are voting based purely on scouting reports and Oilers media and not many have actually seen these kids play.
What leads you to believe he will be better than Hamilton there arent many indicators to support that

As much as I like Hartikainen, it seems kind of odd to me that most people are basing these rankings off of who's NHL ready.. Hamilton and Pitlick both have good 2nd line potential, Hartikainen doesn't. I think that's the bottom line.

Yea, along with scouting reports and most Oilers fans that I've seen post on the players. What do you see in Hartikainen? All I see is a hard working role player that can put up decent points and be a good 3rd/4th line player. I think that's fair.

I bet Hartikainen makes it and one of those other two dont. Long term.

That's fair. I might even somewhat agree with that since Hartikainen has showed he can play in the NHL. However, there is no question right now Hamilton and Pitlick have better potential.

Perhaps, but Pitlick has been hurt, and hasnt seemed to fully recover yet. Perhaps he never gets back to 100%?

Hamilton has had his own injury issues.

That's very subjective.

With Hartikainen's constant progression throughout his first pro season, it's impossible to have a grasp on his upside yet.

Because I've seen them both nearly a dozen times, a handful of those live viewings, and IMO Pitlick is a better skater, has a quicker and more accurate release, and has better hockey IQ and vision. Pitlick is the better scorer of the 2, which I seem to value more.

IMO, he's just a better all around offensive threat going forward. I guess I just like him more and think he has top 6 upside, which I'm not as certain Hamilton has.

That being said, I have Pitlick ahead of marincin, Klefbom, and lander too, so it's really nothing against guys like Teemu or Hamilton, I like them both a lot.

It should be a combination of chance of sticking with the big club long term and potential ceiling. I'm not going to try and rank them since I have never really seen Pitlick play at all so it's hard to form an opinion.
