There was allot of talk going around that Richie would be the last of our free agent signings (of any status) this offseason and even the possibility that his rights might be moved. I guess we have our answer.

If the arbiter gave him the 1.4M he was seeking, the Kings walk away. This is a good deal for a very versatile guy they've gotten a lot of mileage out of.

I agree with that Facewash. It is a good deal and doesn't mean that we still can't move him in fact, it makes it a little easier imo if that is the direction we wanted to go.

good deal for both partys.

Now the problem... where to put him.
He is useless as winger and nobody but me wants him as center.

Since we switch centers to wingers we can try him as goalie

Another great deal. This is fair, Martinez was a steal but Richardson's contract is fair. Got to get Lewis done and Doughty, of course

$1.175M per, not bad. About $225k less than I expected.

FYI per nothelen, it's $1MM for the first season and $1.35MM for season two.

I'm with you buddy! I would love to see him as our fourth line center. He'd be a Damn good one as well

Good! I like Richie but he has to be better defensively. He lost his coverage a couple of times in the play-offs.

This is a great signing. Having Richardson on the ice is always a challenge for our D-men and so it keeps them on their toes. Makes sure that even against the worst teams they'll always have to fight through defensive zone breakdowns and poor defensive positioning.

Don't think he did enough to warrant a raise to be honest. Oh well, he's still pretty cheap.

Fine deal. You couldn't really low ball him after he was one of the best players against the Sharks. Will do good things with Clifford and Stoll.
