I already put this in the minor signings thread, but, by my own criteria, it does technically deserve its own thread, so I'll leave it up for the time being and merge it later, deal?

Just delete this one and leave it in the minor signings would be my best.

Easy. Trade Stoll to Phoenix. Solves both of our problems completely. What? No, no, I can't hear you. LalalalLalallLa(with fingers in ears)

Really? Seems clear to me he goes on a line with Stoll and Clifford, no? I don't see anyone else unless you really like Trevor Lewis. The top 6 is also set from what I can tell.

He will do just fine on the third line. Clifford-Stoll-Richardson. Works for me, good cap hit. I like it. Now all we have to do is resign Lewis and trade Doughty and...

More than I thought he would get. I see him as an easily-replaceable spare part... that's a lot of money for a 4th liner with great speed but small size and little skill.

Fine signing. Was possibly the best player in the playoffs against the Sharks and is a great bottom six guy, so can't really hate on the price.

Really? The Avs have tons of capable depth forwards from what I can tell. Not sure why you feel bad about it.

It's a shame this didn't happen on July 1st as it would have provided golden opportunities for troll dads all over the LA area.

:Bust into room where 12 year old son is hanging out:

"We got Brad Richards, son! We got Brad Richards, son!"

Problem?

Good to see him signed. Maybe a little more than deserves on paper, but he never complains about lack of playing time/being scratched. When given playing time, he works hard and is willing to do whatever he's asked.

I don't have a problem slightly overpaying someone like him.

Good deal. I was thinking $1.5, but hey, this works.

I like Richardson's game, particularly his versatility. He is a perfect depth player than has enough skill to move up and down the lineup if need be.

Imagine if NYR signed Brad Richards and Brad Richardson. That would be epic.

LA getting Brad Richards would have been more epic. Could have had a line of:

Richards - Richards - Richardson

Maybe DL and Kings management actually made that huge presentation to Richardson on July 1st and he's been thinking it over this whole time.
