For those who have asked in recent days about Ryan Malone and what number he may be wearing this season, sounds like he's going back to #12
This is big news to me.

Great, 12 is his number! For those who think it's unfair against fans who bought the jersey last year, well:

1. We get a totally new jersey anyway this season
2. All those fans who bought his shirt the seasons before that got the correct number back!

I wonder what Shannon will do. #62?

What if Jones makes the team out of camp (very likely) - will he keep #49?

Gilroy #97? Pyatt #94?

Gilroy will stick with #97 in all likelihood. I'd be shocked if he went with anything else actually.

I don't know about Jones. He seems to prefer the #9, but that's taken, (in another strange player-number combination). Maybe double up and go with #99?

It'd be sort of funny if he started wearing #8. Now that I think about it.

I think Gervais will ask for #8 - if he's up to it (big foot steps to fill).

When he broke into the NHL, he wore #6.

I could easily see Ryan Shannon wearing #28 though.

Shannon wore #38 in Anaheim, #41 for the Portland Pirates, and #22 for the Manitoba moose, so who knows.

Gilroy will stay with 97. He wears it in memory of his brother who passed away.

At his recent Big Assist Charity game in Stamford, CT last Wed night, he wore #27. An educated guess tells you why. St. Louis was on the White team, and so was Matt Moulson (both wore #26) and Shannon could have easily worn #26 for the Blue team but he did not. A new beginning.

Interesting, but not enough for us to go on to put it in the title.

I see Bruno Gervais tweeted that if he had a choice he'd like to wear #27. Will be up for grabs I guess.
