There gonna make you wait until NHL 2012.. Updating new rosters is how EA Sports markets to their NHL fans base.

Yeah, I very rarely play XBox Live, so I usually just take it upon myself to update the rosters manually. Unfortunately, you can never get it entirely right, and it's frustrating that there's no Frattin, Colborne, Gardiner, or Rynnas. The Marlies would be one badass team if it had the actual roster instead of the plugs they toss in their. Oh well. We'll have them all in NHL 12

EA already announced the last roster update was just after the playoffs to add all injured players back to the roster.

huh? The last update had Frattin and Colborne/Rynnas were already in it. Dunno about Gardiner though. Also Stuart Percy is in the game, but no Biggs.

Gardiner is not in the game because he has not signed off to allow them to use him. I would Imagine if Percy is already in the game he allowed his rights but Biggs did not.

They are counting on you buying the next game, if they just kept updating the roster would you buy the next version ?

NHL 12 will have the Jets this year so it will be worth the buy, plus the ratings on the leaf players will go up. Colborne is rated to low and so is Reimer, all that will be changed in the new game.

I think Colbournes rating is about right. It's Kadri that is WAY under-rated. 70 is so under-rated. If Colbourne is a 75 I think Kadri deserves like a 77.

I know Biggs is in NHL 10, drafted Couterier (sp) 7th overall and Biggs 28th

Kadri ends up in the mid 90's, Colborne tops out at 82.

Nope, you'll have to wait till 2012.

Profit, bigger fanbase, etc. All that is a consideration for EA.

Their outdated rosters one of many reason I get annoyed with EA's hockey franchise. 2K had it right with 2Kshare feature... my lineups are perfect in 2K10! I prefer 2K mostly because of the puck and gameplay physics which you don't find in NHL '11. 2K had the gameplay down (this is why some people didn't like it because it wasn't all smooth sailing like in EA) they just need to get the graphics level up and a few other tweaks. It's unfortunate that 2K called it quits because they were the closest thing to a NHL Sim as you can get, and now it allows EA to get even more lazy with no competion... let's purchase NHL '12 for roster updates and "new" features that were already introduced in the PC version a decade ago.

I know someone will reply and tell me I'm nuts and that 2K sucks (blah, blah), I've heard it all before... EA is full of very predictable gameplay. People like myself and others at 2khockey.net demand realistic hockey experience. I heard EA may be working on a new physics engine, but won't probably be out until '13 so in that regard 2K is already years ahead of them.... shame. If EA could ever get the puck and play physics right and not the nonsense they have been selling, EA could be the best game ever made!

Just wondering. When NHL 12 comes out, how many games does Jake Gardiner have to play to get in the roster updates?

Sometime in September I think.

It's a very slow paced game compared to before.

He will most likely be in NHL 12 when it comes out because he played 9 games with the Marlies.

What? Lol you're sadly underestimating Colborne potential.

I'm pretty sure he means in the actual game, not in real life

I believe 2K stopped making hockey games now. I'm pretty sure its EA or bust now
